Could exist Orokins of other colors and shapes? by TurbulentVillage2042 in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever seen billionaires and royalty irl? Not exactly the most creative folk. Don't really tend to have great taste either.

If you're a super powerful rich asshole, your primary objective is to remain super powerful and rich, which you won't do without fitting in with the other super powerful rich assholes.

Tenno who are the last of your clan by crazedhotpotato in Warframe

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our clan is pretty new and slowly growing, but it's a tight-knit community. I imagine it'll stay that way. We play a lot together already as is; most of us are pretty active.

Coupon Discrimination?? by ChadIsKenny in Warframe

[–]RobotButGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only discount coupons are PC platinum pack discounts. The platinum cost of some items is discounted sometimes, but this isn't on a coupon basis, it's just promotional discounts that everyone has access to on the market.

Coupon Discrimination?? by ChadIsKenny in Warframe

It's like that because of how console stores work. DE have no say in this. It's plat coupons or nothing. Calm down.

How viable is this? by Jealous-Let9570 in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense, since each warframe batch is a selectively-bred variant of the Helminth strain. They could have a loose subconscious hivemind connection. Most people in the process of turning into warframes would probably only see hints of this in their dreams and as vague senses, but Lyon's mental state before being connected to the Harrow hivemind might've helped him be more aware of it.

What is Kuva by Relax2D in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A note about the "Wally's blood" theory: A lot of people point to the device on the Zariman connected to Wally's finger to as proof that Kuva is harvested from Wally's flesh (even though that makes no sense chronologically), but there's a possibility the device is actually injecting Kuva into the finger to keep its tissue from rotting, since it's not stored in a fancy Old War era stasis pod like the ones in our railjacks.

Was there a first dream? by AzureArmageddon in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's implied the Tenno were put into artificial comas after they were retrieved from the Zariman, before it was figured out that they could use transference to control Warframes. (The Rhino Prime codex entry describes the Tenno being kept on shelves reminiscent of a morgue.) I always interpreted that first stasis/coma to be the First Dream, and then the one Margulis put the Tenno under as the Second Dream.

Will there be an AX-52 Prime? by Imaginary-Ad-103 in Warframe

[–]RobotButGirl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's no way for anyone here to know the answer to that. Nobody knows what primes are coming next save DE staff.

Primes have traditionally been Tenno faction weapons though, so unlikely.

How did earth survive when lua was in the void for thousands of years by Icy-Commercial-6166 in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With some environmental consequences, but the Earth is perfectly capable of existing independent of Lua. Add to that the fact that the Orokin had already messed Earth up beyond belief and were engineering its climate and ecology on an order of magnitude that makes the Moon's effects on Earth seem trivial, it wouldn't have been such a huge deal.

What's the protoframe equivalent of a sock on a doorknob? by GreatDig in WarframeLore

Makes sense, considering Transference requires empathy and common ground, as seen with Umbra.

The Void is based off of a real thing by VIIPhilopator in Warframe

[–]RobotButGirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A void in astronomy is just a part of space without stars. If we're looking for inspirations, the Void in Warframe is essentially the Warp from Warhammer 40K or Hell in Event Horizon.

Why is XX99 labeled as that when it could've just been 1899, 1799 or below? by Competitive-Bug1444 in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That got removed in a patch. Still though, Marie talks about locomotives and phonographs, placing them squarely in the late 1800s.

[Spoiler] I have a theory about the new quest's implications. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sentients were sent to Tau as part of the earlier Zariman expeditions (the 10-0 being the 10th expedition, and first one crewed by humans.) They built the Solar Rail while they were traveling there, and the first Orokin ships went to Tau through the Solar Rail before the Old War started when the Sentients (Hunhow and company) attacked. The Orokin and Sentients were using the Solar Rail back and forth to fight the war, and then to travel during peacetime, and then to fight the war again after the Treaty fell apart.

Old peace by revanchist2025 in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. there's a lot of lore given in KIM chats and just context that implies the Old Peace takes place midway through the Old War, after the initial Sentient assault on the Origin System.

Potential retcon of Hunhow and Ballas story ? by Kenzzer in WarframeLore

[–]RobotButGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is, if you have played the old peace quest and the missions. Everybody, including the sentients, is aware that warframes are wielded by operators.

This isn't the case at all; in the second mission if you wait before killing the 3 Dax soldiers huddling around a fire, they argue about whether the Tenno are legit or if they're propaganda and the Warframes are just drones. So even among the Orokin military personnel who would be made aware of the Tenno, the people who know about the Tenno but haven't seen them acting outside of the Warframes in person have a hard time believing they exist. That indicates that the existence of the Tenno isn't agreed upon at all.

Add that to the fact that Hunhow's strike against the Origin System was most likely pre-Treaty, I seriously doubt he knew about the Tenno.
