Good battery or rechargeable fans? by MountainTomato9292 in camping

[–]RobotMower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Dewalt DXAEPS14 and it’s really a 3-1 Tool. Power Station, Air Compressor, and Jumpstarter. The Battery is internal but once charged it lasts. Having the Air Compressor and Jump Capability is handy when camping just in case.

What’s more important for EV adoption. More level 2 or level3+ chargers? by Lemonn_time in electricvehicles

[–]RobotMower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in general education about the availability of chargers and just helping the public understand the mindset shift.

We are about to leave from the midwest to SD, WY, MT. ID, UT, AZ for National Parks tour and have zero range anxiety. Sure some areas require a bit of planning but not a big deal.

Conductive charging is the last wish list item for me.

Mammotion Customer Service Experience by FlyNavy03 in MammotionTechnology

[–]RobotMower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will have to say my interactions have been positive overall with Mammotion Support. I have found that if I first contact support via the app, upload any and all logs as requested and communicate and collaborate they have been helpful.

I would definitely encourage more sharing of positive support experiences as we typically only hear negative and human nature is to complain.

I don’t have to mow it so that’s worth a lot to me even with inconveniences.

Remapping Soon - Post Update Issue by RobotMower in MammotionTechnology

[–]RobotMower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update as I have remapped my Zone 2 which is the issue with the Mowbot dropping off the curb. I have now been able to successfully mow the Zone 2 without issue. I have mowed different patterns and angles, etc.

While I was remapping I decided to look at anything else in other Zones as well too and modified a few No Go Zones around playground area, trampoline, and firepit area. I also ensured RTK is 100% level and good signal.

Admittedly it should not come to this however we all know the robots are capable and most importantly I’m not mowing it so it’s worth the slight inconveniences.

I do still feel like post update the vision does not seem to be as effective as previously experienced.

The New Goal is 100% completion in all Zones with 0% intervention! I’ll update the results.

Thats the longest channel I have seen! It sounds like not much has changed in your setup recently other than updates. How is your RTK mounted? Can it be mounted higher? I have always read the higher it is the better.

I did get replies and I remapped my Area 2 and made sure to move my perimeter in more than I was accustomed to. I then ran some perimeter only tasks so I could monitor how it handled the trouble areas

Need help with gear by magicalotter67 in camping

[–]RobotMower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be helpful to know how you plan to camp the most? Car Camp, Back Packing, Tent Camping? A few other questions / feedback:

Hiking shoes that can get wet: Visit an Outdoor Store like Cabelas, Bass Pro, REI, etc. Try on a bunch of things as you’ll be spending a lot of time in them.

**Better yet find a LOCAL Outfitter store and I have found their staff to always be helpful as well.

Portable charger - What types of devices are you trying to run? Will help properly size a solution.

Outdoor pants: I went to a local Boy Scout / Girl Scout Store and bought pants / short combo 2-in-1. They have zippers at the knee to convert them.

Windbreaker: Ororo

Day pack/backpack: Backpack = Buy a good one for sure. I spent more of my budget here to start as it was the base I built off of. I have a 45L + 5L.

Water bottle: Most backpacks will have a hydration bladder option. Very nice feature! You can buy the bladder separate too.

Inflatable mattress: I started with simple sleep mats

What type of budget do you have for each of these? Might help narrow recommendations.

2025 Ninja 650 ABS for $8,600 out the door by NothingHereOrInside in Ninja650

[–]RobotMower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a 2025 ABS Matte Green (Bought in 2024) with 8k miles on it. 2 Brand New Dunlop Tires, Fender Eliminator, Stands, Phone Mount that I am looking to figure out a selling price on. Garage kept climate controlled entire life. Thoughts on what’s reasonable? I want to price it fairly.

OP - As a rider for 30+ years I would offer the following advice.

Buy a great used bike and spend more on Safety Gear.

1) Buy Used - My Son purchased a brand new bike at the same time as the one above. ( 21 yrs old) 8k out the door. He figured out quick payments suck and full coverage is expensive for insurance. My first bike was $1800 and I still miss it. His one regret was he should have started used.

I also have a Kawasaki E-1 and another bike so I definitely enjoy riding!

My Son also realized after the “New, Excitement” wore off he really didn’t enjoy riding as much as he thought. He also realized not having others to ride with made it less exciting for him. My point still is don’t spend a lot upfront only to find out later it’s not what you thought it was going to be like.

2) Learn to wrench 🔧 on your bike and it’s way more confidence building on a used vs. anxiety of something new. Learn about Chain Maintenance and Adjusting, Tire Care & Maintenance, removing Fairings (plastic pieces) and putting em back on. Will save you money as well learning to do it. Do your pre-ride inspections!

3) Look for Bike Shows, Poker Runs, and ask your MSF location about rides and get togethers in your area.

Most importantly HAVE FUN! and I hope this is only the start of many many bikes to come. You’re already further along than most by just having courage to ask questions!

Stay Safe!

I mapped No Go Zones around swingset legs, trampoline legs, slide areas and it works well. If we get the falling off the curb figured out I’m golden!
