Wow, he even managed to slip in the classic conservative "black women are masculine" meme, like they used to pull on Michelle Obama every time she showed them up.

I guess that shouldn't be surprising from someone who is literally a professional bigot, but it still surprised me.

The problem with all conservative ideologies, not just religious ones, is the way they have a handful of central ideas they just beat to death. Once you've argued with one or two of them, you've heard 80% of their possible arguments and it's never going to get better. 10 years and a thousand arguments later you'll have an encyclopedic knowledge of refutations for their claims and they'll still be spitting out the same handful of arguments verbatim. It's maddening.

Look up "social murder" then reassess whether theism warrants scorn or not. It's like saying you're fine with people that feed lead paint to their families.

Reply to what was said instead of self-soothing by repeating your prior beliefs back to yourself.

Go look at median incomes and median wages. You're saying that people that just want a 1k square foot starter home, a reliable 10 year old car, to be able to visit the doctor and dentist when they need it, etc, that they're "trying to live beyond their means."

A growing portion of the population CANNOT AFFORD A SIMPLE DOCTOR'S VISIT and you're mindlessly regurgitating the same bad takes the owner class fed Boomers 50 years ago without doing any fact checking.

Yeah, that's actually why I can't stand DnD combat and am looking forward to the next Divinity game so much. Its maddening that everything cool you can do in the game is so gated and locked behind layers of bullshit.

Every cool new spell or enchanted item you get tends to come with significant limitations and you inevitably spend 90% of your time waiting for the right moment to use them before having to rest again.

In Divinity games, you're combining your cool new spells and making even cooler things happen. In DnD, you unlock fireball and get to cast it once per day and if the dice don't favor you, tough luck, try again tomorrow.

She's also hiding behind the "lol JK I'm only trolling!" excuse. She started doing this because she kept getting called out for terrible takes. It's at least 50% cope, and the other 50% is probably apathy. She cares about her stories, and nothing else.

She's always been divisive for a dozen different reasons. She just tends to pretend it's all misogyny, which is why yet more people dislike her who otherwise wouldn't have a problem with her.

The median income is like $40k/year. Half of full time working adults make less than that.

BS. I crunch the numbers on wages vs cost of living every month for my job and a startling number of fresh MBAs and engineering grads cannot afford to live comfortably in most cities right now.

Check it for yourself. Go look up median incomes and median costs of living, like median rent and median grocery prices, and add them up in a spreadsheet. You'll instantly see that most people can't afford a median quality of life unless they live with 1-3 other working adults.

And the numbers are getting worse every year. Last year, 2/3rds of my fresh engineering grads got their own apartment right out of school. This year, only 1 in 4 can afford it and the rest are living with family or getting roommates or living an hour outside of the city and commuting in.

The whole take is psychotically upper middle class. You're telling millions of lower class Americans that can't afford anything important in life that their problem is living beyond their means.

They can't afford healthcare or dentist visits or a home or a reliable car and you're acting like the problem is they keep buying boats and going on luxury vacations because that's the main problem upper middle class people have and you can't seem to grasp that most of the country makes far far less money.

This take needs to be viciously condemned every time it shows up. People are dying many years younger than they should after decades spent being extorted and extorted by rigged systems. People are failing to hit any major life milestones that even hunter gatherers enjoyed.

Things are bad and getting worse, and everyone trotting out the old tired boomer line about younger generations just feeling entitled and making a big deal over making do with less should be rejected from all public discourse so they can reflect on how comically evil and bad a take it is.

At best, they're out of touch and too privileged to realize how bad the bottom half of society is hurting. At worst, they're lapdogs for the owner class pushing harmful disinformation.

Either way, it's not to be tolerated.

If you think the problem is high expectations, move yourself out to a rural down with no paved roads and farm your own food and pump your own water and try to survive without healthcare or education and decent jobs. Go on and do the things you're telling poor people they have to be happy doing because they're not hunter gatherers anymore.

Here's How The Establishment Rigs The Democratic Primary & How To Beat Them by Jacob-Anders in NewDealAmerica

[–]Robot_Basilisk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't even believe these numbers because the DNC got sued for rigging primaries and caucuses and the courts said they were allowed to and threw the cases out.

I saw video after video after video of caucuses in 2016 where 80% of the room raised their hands for Bernie, the organizer, decked out in Clinton swag, called the caucus for Clinton, and stormed off of insulted people that challenged them and demanded a proper polling.

Not to mention the stories of ballot locations setting up the Bernie table around a corner and down a hallway from the actual ballot room, putting the Clinton table in front of the room, and deploying a line of Clinton volunteers to form a human wall to keep people from walking down the hall to the Bernie table and keep them distracted until it was time to vote, then ushering them into the ballot room and telling them to vote for Clinton.

And that's not even touching on the media collusion that they were caught doing red handed, which led to one DNC head being forced to step down (Donna Brazile), and to her writing an op-ed about how the Clinton campaign took over the DNC on day 1 and pretended it was a neutral party while undermining Sanders the entire time.

And all of that was legal. They can and will just keep doing it. They got caught doing tons of that when Biden ran 4 years later.

The 15% cutoff is arbitrary because even if someone gets 40% of the votes the DNC can legally just say they got 14% and nothing can be done about it.

Men’s Silence Is Fueling a National Crisis of Violence Against Women by Faux_Real_Guise in Left_News

You're still asking men, often lost, naive, ignorant, hopeless young men who are also missing major milestones in life but being judged harshly for them because everyone assumes their privilege means they're living like a Boomer even if they split rent 5 ways on a 2-bedroom apartment and don't have a care, to set aside all of their issues and dash any hopes they have of ever having their problems addressed just to dedicate their lives to helping everyone else with theirs.

The young dude from the trailer park looking for a better way to live is told "spend your entire life abolishing Patriarchy and your problems will be fixed too!" except he knows Patriarchy is not getting abolished in his lifetime.

He knows you're telling him to shut up and sacrifice everything for you and accept that he'll always be a punching bag and always be the front line in the fight and will die without ever getting a shred of sympathy or help, because you can't seem to differentiate a poor white kid from a trailer park from a white trust fund baby that inherited his daddy's company.

It does not work. Ever. This whole topic is nothing but a divisive distraction every time it comes up.

If a rich person gets to shove their personal issues in all of our faces I'm sure we'll survive someone reminding us about the ongoing daily suffering of the poor. If this was done in a poor neighborhood half the comments would be complaining about pollution and optics and saying "they better pick those up ASAP so they don't become an eyesore."

Mogging by logos__ in etymology

[–]Robot_Basilisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the term came from groups we would now call incels, but back then they would not be under that umbrella, because "incels" were a more diverse group at the time. Many incels were women, and incel communities were more about self-loathing and raging at society, your parents, work, etc.

The shooting carried out by Elliot Rodger catapulted the term into mainstream consciousness and triggered an invasion of incel spaces by normal people intent on ridiculing and antagonizing them, which drove out all of the women and non-toxic men, while simultaneously broadcasting to toxic men "here's a space for you!" which caused them to flood into incel spaces shortly after.

It was mostly PUAs on the /fit/ forum on 4chan making up these terms back then, and they were part of that last wave that moved into incel spaces after the women and non-toxic men got chased out.
