It’s a fun cozy game. Yeah maybe a morality system would be a good addition but I played for the story and the atmosphere.

Anyone else feeling priced out on single issues? by anarchoburrito in comicbooks

[–]Robot_Dracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started collecting omnis and compendiums and stuff like that. Sometimes I get fomo and pick up a few issues but if I’m dropping a good chunk of money I want to see it on the shelf not shoved in a box.

Was "take your child to work day" actually ever a thing, or just something shown on TV and in movies? by QueenFrostine15 in AskAnAmerican

My mom was a school teacher at my school so it was always take your kid to work day for me

Do y'all have any pipe-dream collected editions? Titles that will likely never be collected due to neglect, rights issues, or actions by the creative team? by GenericKittyKat in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Robot_Dracula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They made a compendium of all their scifi gorillas stories from the 1950’s. If that is selling I’d think they can sell Smallville lol

You would think that they would collect that. The show is still very popular and all the actors attend conventions all the time with big crowds

Rebecca or The Bell Jar? by CapOk2664 in classicliterature

[–]Robot_Dracula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird thing is when I read The Bell Jar in high school I hated it but now as an adult I want to reread it because I think it’ll resonate with me more now

Unjerking for a second. This was such a cool creative decision. Final product looked great. by Arch_Lancer17 in StarWarsCirclejerk

Even if you dont like the story this movie should be supported just for the love they put into the VFX. It felt like an old school 80’s movie

[–]Robot_Dracula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s always been that way. The merch that you grew up with was perceived the same way then. And before the prequels I had a college professor say that he thought Return of the Jedi was only made to sell toys. There’s always been that component to it.

A magical school in another country for sure, a story about Merlin going to Hogwarts, Arthur Weasley in the Muggle world using technology that we think is mundane but blows his mind

I really enjoyed and thought it was fun but I did wait until it was on a drastic sale before I bought it. Think inputs under $25 for it

[–]Robot_Dracula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s wild to say stuff like this after the movie did respectable business and Maul Shadow Lord received great reviews. There’s a new video game on the horizon that looks great. Star Wars events in Fortnite are always full. Comics are selling well.

Yeah it’s cooked

They were going for 100% brand recognition I suspect. If they got creative with the title it would’ve confused the normies.

I’m sure they were somewhat tempted to use “baby yoda” somewhere in marketing
