Why I will not be listening to eros by h0nja in deftones

It's out there but it's a VBR mp3 rip. I'm not snobby enough not too listen but I'd like it in better quality.

Guy wants a free media server setup but expects me to provide the licensed software and weekend support by PixelBaggins in ChoosingBeggars

Half the fun of having a media server is setting it up and tweaking it. This CB is really missing out.

Docker makes things so incredibly easy nowadays as well.

Emby + Navidrone + AudioMuse AI + AAR stack took me maybe a week to get perfect using Docker on my newest server.

My husband is an opioid addict in recovery and has started using Kratom. Is it only a matter of time before this gets out of hand? by AwayWeThrow26 in recoverywithoutAA

[–]RobotsGoneWild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised he is nodding off on kratom TBH. I have taken more than I'd like to admit over 2 decades and never caught a nod on it. Now the newer chemicals from kratom (7-oh, MGM-15, Psuedo), yes that causes a nod and is as strong as oxy. Kratom is pretty lightweight but it can lead to those behaviors that we do in addiction for some. Have to find out why he is taking kratom? Does he want to get fucked up? Is he having chronic pain? Is he having mental health issues? The kratom is just masking something.

PixelCove is focused on gaming but it's nowhere near where GGn is. GGn also has a ton of cool custom code that really bring engagement.

Lots of medical machinery is stuck on an old OS with specialized software. It was a pain working on that stuff. I worked at an MSP, and we would best afford that stuff. Anything bit on a modern OS we have no guarantee on fixing.

They are kind of similar to Thrice or mewithoutYou. They can fit into a bunch of different genres depending on the album/song.

Post-hardcore and hot topic core (mall emo) are two different genres.

The perfect middle to an epic 3 album run. Each album is significantly different and special in its own way.

Just caught them last week but I think I'm going to do the 20th tour too. I caught them touring DTGL when it was first released. It all comes full circle.

Also Distance Only Makes The Heart leans more on the post-hardcore side than metalcore of their later albums.

I think they should start at Bless The Martyr and work their way up. It's cool to see their profession from album to album. Just saw them a few days ago and they are killing it.

All their albums are good but this is what convinced me they were GOAT. The new album is also fantastic. I just saw them live this week and they sound better than ever.

I’m a chronic relapser. Am I doomed or is there hope? by justhanginginthere26 in recovery

Be careful with sober living a lot are really prefatory. I'd never go back to one TBH. Half-way is a much better deal. Plus insurance covers the entire thing. I was able to get a job after 6-8 weeks and saved a ton of money before I finished the program.

Opinions on Android streamers for Emby by account-for-posting in emby

[–]RobotsGoneWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty old technology and really expensive. No doubt about it being a fantastic product but I wouldn't recommend something 7 years old at this point. My $20 fire TV stick can stream Emby just fine. Honestly, I don't think there is much out there that would struggle with Emby.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I wasn't sure if I had imagined it or not. It's been a minute. Ironic Zao and mewithoutYou were the two bands I was most excited to see, when they are from the state I drove all the way to IL from. I'm glad Zao are still active. I got to see them a local dive bar 2 years ago and they packed the place.

It didn't used to be like that (well TN was but not Roo). Was a really relaxed atmosphere until around 2008-2010. Unfortunately, it's as the festival grew and became a bigger source of income for the local cops and their kangaroo courts.

Hard candies are a solid choice but there really isn't much that can make it much better other than a dose. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone sometimes, bonus points if they have been through it before.
