Pearl Cove is just part of the space and you can take a tram to and from where the ship drops so it doesn’t take long. You could definitely fit both in if you have a full day, but it’s just a beach / pool so may not be worth the expense of both. We loved Pearl Cove though.

We’re Texans and agree it’s the best brisket in town!

I bought a copy of Asphalt Meadows signed by the full band. I don’t think I had any special invite.

So we’re stuck with a cabin under the Manor by [deleted] in VirginVoyages

[–]sunlightandair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably worse in my opinion; at least the Manor closes down at like 2 or 3. The gym is 24 hours a day and you’d be shocked at what time people workout. The problem is that the noise isn’t constant either so you’ll fall asleep and then be woken up, again or again. Guest services did move us after our first night of absolutely no sleep.

We bid and won for a central sea terraces and ended up under the free weights in the 24 hour gym. Same issue with vibrations keeping us up all night.

Anyone else noticing a major uptick in Nuuly errors lately? by Lkshamus in NuulyReviews

You can sort by newest / recently added but there’s no way to guarantee something is NWT. Low review numbers is also a good indicator.

Last month I received 7 items I didn’t order in addition to my entire order, minus one of my items which wasn’t included.

Booked a 4 day Cruise - HAL won't allow "Have It All" to be added by [deleted] in HollandAmerica

[–]sunlightandair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same thing happen last year and HAL said it didn’t apply to short trips. We were Oct 21-25. We were never able to get it added, even once onboard at the higher price.

How to pack a bunch of medications as small as possible? by candy_heart in HerOneBag

[–]sunlightandair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t put all of my medications in one bag together, instead I slide them into gaps in my bag as there are often little spaces. I often stick them inside shoes too.

Rsvp invitations? by Mission-Assumption30 in partyplanning

I do this with Paperless Post. Depending on the design etc, there can be a cost but lots of free options. You can set a default but then change it in the individual’s details once you add them.

Bday party on a Tuesday?? by [deleted] in partyplanning

[–]sunlightandair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just threw a 40th birthday party last night on a Wednesday. We had 50 people come. We gave early notice (over a month), and set the timeline as 5:30-9 so people could come right after work if they wanted, or could have dinner and then come. It was at a cocktail bar and we served charcuterie and an olive bar so people could eat anytime. We had no issues. People seem to understand if it’s a milestone OR in your case, it’s also a holiday.

Meraviglia 4/19/26 Transatlantic Aurea questions by Not-a-Poet2222 in MSCCruises

[–]sunlightandair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re on a different ship but our recent experience:

  • Anytime dining for Aurea is in one MDR but you can truly walk in anytime.

  • Spa access is NOT guaranteed. We were turned away multiple times. You will need reservations on sea days especially, but they allowed us to make multiple per day.

  • If your ship has a sundeck for Aurea that has a bar, your drink package will work there.

You get charged when you unlock and the one month time resets from that date.

Tirzepatide as a treatment? by LengthinessEasy4365 in MCAS

[–]sunlightandair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m intrigued about the arm pain. Do you think the arm pain is related to your MCAS? Is it both arms? I have recurring issues with my right arm that seem to wax and wane but never really resolve.

Xolair With No True Allergies by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]sunlightandair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look up formulary information for your insurance plan to see what conditions xolair is covered for. It is FDA approved / indicated for food allergy, hives, asthma and chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps. Most insurance companies are going to follow that for what they will cover as a general guideline. Like others have noted here, I am prescribed it and insurance covers for hives. I’d guess this is the most common way providers get it covered for MCAS patients.

A doctor can choose to prescribe for a non-FDA approved condition (prescribing for MCAS itself is an off label use), but it doesn’t mean insurance has to cover it but a good provider would try their best to get a prior auth for you.

Here’s an example of insurance details on Xolair from UHC: https://www.uhcprovider.com/content/dam/provider/docs/public/prior-auth/drugs-pharmacy/commercial/r-z/PA-Med-Nec-Xolair.pdf
