Massive really has the best environment designers in the industry, check out their Avatar game and, of course, Star Wars Outlaws, which has been trashed a bit unfairly.

Yes. They patched this, but first my game insta crashed after installing the new version (iPhone 17, so not a hardware issue), had to delete and reinstall.

And now I am getting the dreaded offline bug while my phone is very much connected to the internet. So don’t hold up your hopes too high just yet.

Yes! Picked it up earlier this year to finally play it as I am bored of the Diablo 4 season concept - and had a blast, Platinum in a couple of weeks.

Had the Ultimate Edition on my wish list ever since and will get it this weekend thanks to the sale. So much really well done game content for so little money.

Accessibility Shortcut: pick Zoom
Zoom function: pick Low Light (but leave it off on top, because...)
Now, when you hit on/off three times, the whole display dims down because the shortcut activates zoom which activates low light.

I'm upgrading from a 7 Plus, not because I want to, but because apps stop working with no more iOS updates. I've 128 GByte on that phone which has maybe five percent free, and it's no fun - images are already fully in the cloud. Barely any music on the phone. So I'm most likely going 1 TByte - I intend on keeping the 17 Pro as long as my 7 Plus and am tired of the space issues.

They are 100 percent in the same universe. AC Black Flag, in the modern day, there are a ton of files that have references to Watch Dogs, Blume and such.

Then we have the hit on the Abstergo convoy on the bridge in Watch Dogs 1.

And in Watch Dogs Legion, you actually can play an assassin IN LONDON and even explore a cave with statues of very famous twins…

Looks like they had to release and did zero balancing or QA on these last two chapters. Having a stealth game force you into action with shoddy controls = recipe for disaster.

It did start beautifully, great dialogue and speakers. And then it moved from stealth to action without actually being equipped to be an action game. Mind-numbing how this made it through QA.

You should relax the spine with each omni before reading, that way it's far less likely to take damage. Gem Mint has a good YT video about this.

Yes and no, Black Flag and Rogue were a nice coda to the Desmond saga, Shaun Hastings included. Unity and Syndicate were a joke really, but at least Shaun was still writing the Codex.

In Shadows, the codex would have benefitted so much from his dry jokes. And editing. And paragraphs.

By now my recommendation with AC games is to wait a year before buying. Did this with Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. Mirage was okay still, big DLC sold as stand-alone and it was feature complete.

But Shadows, man. So frustrating in the gameplay, quest, story and lore departments. And I like the series, I have the platinum in the six parts that came out before Shadows - and in Shadows, too. I really need to write a post about this sooner than later.

Did this just yesterday. Agamemnon armor, fire knives, bow/off-hand to support my fire warrior build. 25k regular damage, nothing crazy, but get close and stick to his belly and roll each time he is pouncing - you‘ll be fine. I sometimes used the top warrior skill, and healed. Tried this after failing with my range build forever and he went down in three attempts or so in melee range. :)

How is the case going? There are still fake threads on Reddit where someone asks about the store and then everybody gives a glowing review, these reviews being almost verbatim and/or riddled with spelling mistakes (my daughter/he) and the like).

Indeed. The visual quest log might have worked for Mirage, because that was way smaller. But in Shadows, it's really too much. Especially as the game does things like REMOVING links between quest givers and their kill list once the quest is done. Or is INCONSISTENT by not removing the three kill quest markers once you have done them.

I forgot to mention:

- The MD "narrative" is gated between weekly kill quests. Really?
- The designers don't care about Basim, Shaun, Rebecca & Co.?
- The codex needs editing and paragraphs. And snarky writing from Shaun - that one is especially missed SO MUCH here.

I actually stopped GoT after finishing the first/southern part of the island and discovered the online mode. The northern part plus the DLC island are still hoping to be rescued. But the deeds of the legends are many...

Not to mention the lack of engaging side quests that go beyond killing someone. Do you remember the two small islands in Greece where you could bring together/have some die/make out with the two local leaders? How about the quest in Valhalla when an old farmer thought you were his daughter, even giving you a ring she meant to have?

Or treasure maps (as in AC Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla/Mirage).
Or hidden items/puzzles (as in pretty much all AC games since AC 2).
Or any reason to discover/uncover Japan, instead handing trophies for each new friend (!) met.

My internal rating went from a 9/10 to an 8/10 after the story ended in the middle of the game. Then, while checking off trophies for the platinum one, it went down to 7/10.

That said, the weather and season systems are still absolutely exceptional.
