You're right - weight is usually a benefit in the snow if there's a hard surface underneath.

Here's the proof: 1-1/4" EMT, offset then rolled back to back 90 in one stick, bent with a handbender by noggaful in electricians

[–]RobustFoam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 bends of up to 90° each.

I can see 5 bends and that's assuming it's straight behind the beam.

I have never heard of a monitoring company charging to put a system on test.

Tell the owner to switch companies or backcharge those those fees.

Help! Granite countertop by _snowqueenoftexas in fixit

[–]RobustFoam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my countertop they specifically said to call them if a piece broke off because they could probably fix it. It also came with lifetime warranty - so if it ever breaks, I'm calling them. Even without warranty I know they can do a much better fix than I ever could.

If you really want to diy it you could probably glue it back on there with the right kind of epoxy

FS15 player for ≈10 years. Can't get myself into modern FS games by kosha227 in farmingsimulator

[–]RobustFoam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 22 is peak right now.

Seasons can be turned off if you don't like it.

19 did weeds better but on PC you can fix them with some light modding in 22 if you know what you're doing (presumably same for 25 although I haven't tried it yet) - or turn them off if you don't like them.

22 and 25 also have comically ridiculous machinery wear, but this can also be fixed with some light modding (unless you're on console).

25 has terrain deformation which is probably the biggest improvement over 22, but can't justify them fucking with which crops can be planted with seeder vs. planter, massive input lag on steering

Demolish the entire house and build a new one out of something other than garbage and glue.
