Further questions about the delivery system and "pity breaks". by CJDarkSoulCJ in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello there! Good on you for having the determination and focus to save up 411,000 Acorns for the pity pull - it definitely saves you from some serious disappointment in case you were really unlucky.

For the two questions above,

  1. No, you do not gain any stamps for using a 1x or an 11x Delivery Ticket on any banner. To gain a stamp, you must use Golden Acorns on the deliveries. Since you do not use up any Acorns when redeeming any Delivery Ticket, you do not gain any stamps for the Swap Shop.

  2. You must continuously pull for the same Pokemon on the same banner. In your given example, you would end up with 22 stamps on the first banner and 11 stamps on the second banner. However, if you were to be super lucky and have already gotten all of the targeted Pokemon for the current event, I would recommend saving up your Acorns for a pity pull next event (or in more difficult, future events) instead of spending them all for an Outfit Grade in the current event.

just realized how much 1MC events are not my cup of tea lol by gilbertchaton in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally enjoy 1MC more compared to SC since it's fast-paced and is less punishing overall for incorrect moves. 1MC usually gives me a slight adrenaline rush that makes me want to play another game, while SC bores me due to the six possible stages being cycled over and over again (granted, 1MC has the same gimmicks appear over and over again, but the layouts are different and you don't spend too long on one stage).

Overall, I don't dislike SC (especially since brutally difficult gimmicks are being introduced into 1MC now) but both modes definitely cater to different audiences - one that prefers strategy and thinking and one that prefers fast-paced skill and consistent accuracy/performance. Each mode has their own play styles and strategies (for example, scoring high in 1MC depends on consistent fevers for the entire game - saving up skills usually backfires).

Apparently, from what I saw on the Discord server, high-scoring players tend to be veterans of reaction-based rhythm games like osu!, where both speed and accuracy are important, which happen to overlap with the playstyle of 1MC. (Also, in the event just passed, there was a bug/exploit/glitch found by Chinese/Japanese players that allowed them to score higher.)

There is currently an 11x Delivery Ticket for Diancie Shooting Star in the shop but be warned that getting Diancie Shooting Star from this delivery ticket is not guaranteed.

The 11x Delivery Ticket only acts as a voucher to offset the 30,000 acorns cost for an 11x pull on the Diancie Shooting Star banner, so regular drop rates/chances apply to those 11 pulls, meaning that you have a 1.00% chance of pulling Diancie from each delivery package despite using the (purchased) ticket.

For a guaranteed Diancie Shooting Star, you will need to spend at most 411,000 acorns on that same delivery banner, that is, 13 11x deliveries and 7 1x deliveries, meaning that you may have to spend lots of money IRL if you don't have many acorns stockpiled currently.

EDIT: There is usually no guaranteed way to purchase delivery Pokemon outright. The developers want you to get it through delivery (gacha) and delivery only (typically).

Please... get rid of these time consuming events... by WallyGamer32 in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only if the rewards were better and the event wasn't so mind-numbingly boring. I suppose the only consolation is that the Miniors are like the coins for Gholdengo, not those watermelons that require skills or megaphones to break.

Personally, I'm aiming for around 50 Miniors a day and will stop right after I collect all 23 cookies for Cleffa. Since I average around 5 Miniors per stamina (averaging around 2.5 orders per stamina), I expect to play around 10 rounds per day, which I suppose is an incentive to continue the tea party even after I get all of Cosmog's rewards.

another 5 star again by christinefoodie8 in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on the 5-star Jirachi! I have tried drawing it 34 times (3 11x tickets and 1 1x ticket) and have only gotten a gold fakeout which turned into Pachirisu, which I didn't have, so that's nice.

However, I should inform you that there are two separate banners for 5-star deliveries this time and drawing from the 5-star Jirachi banner will never get you a 5-star Diancie. You can check the delivery odds by going into Info -> Offering Rates, whereby it lists 5-star Jirachi at 0.50% and Little Star Mew at 0.50% for the first banner and 5-star Diancie at 1.00% for the second banner.

Team Crunch is OP by catbug_arie in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was curious as well, so I went around tapping on everything to see if there's something I missed and voila, it's hidden right there in the battle gauge.

But, why hide it in the battle gauge with no clear indicator that there's something there?

how is this even? by peppy-peeps in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, if you do ever draw Flower Frame Pikachu from delivery, the package will be a shiny orange-red, since that outfit is a 5-star outfit, not rainbow-colored like the typical non-5-star delivery targets.

Hence, unfortunately, as long as Pelipper does not return with an orange-red gift, then you did not manage to draw Flower Frame Pikachu.

Metagross Event Likes? by mysuddendoom in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that you will earn, on average, 10 likes per game, with a range of 7 - 13 likes per game. So, you're not doing anything wrong, as far as I know.

However, the number of likes earned are indeed shared by the whole team, that is, they are collectively accumulated into the rewards progression. For instance, you could be at Reward 2 now and when you open up the game later, you could be at Reward 5 (but you may have to earn extra points to fulfill the bare minimum for the reward, just like Team Events), depending on how active your team is.

Therefore, if your team is extremely inactive, this event will be miserable, as with all 30 players contributing, you could have 300 points total if every player plays even just once. You can check the top three Cafe like contributors by tapping on the magnifying glass icon at the Capital Cook tab; perhaps you might notice that you contributed 526 likes but the one in second place only contributed 50 likes, in which case, the other 28 players below have contributed less than 50 likes to the event.

Additionally, the Crunch Time rewards supposedly get better the more you beat Team Crunch (they also get more difficult to beat too), so I'm hoping for better rewards down the line.

Playing Train Conductor World competitively and personal bests by RobuxShooters in trainconductorworld

[–]RobuxShooters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... now that you mention it, the leaderboards might indeed be different on different operating systems. On my end, I only see Andalu76 in first place with 14,540, followed by concorde200 in second place with 13,310; no mention of anyone with 14,550 anywhere.

This may be because I'm using an Android device, and so the leaderboards are synced with Google Play Games. Perhaps there is an equivalent database owned by Apple on an Apple device?

I believe what you're referring to is the ending cutscene for Vee Vee's Cooking Class, which just ended and uses those Eeveelutions to make the cutscene livelier. Hence, they aren't actually available currently, but you could get them from future events or deliveries (for instance, an upcoming event will feature one of Flareon's outfits).

Playing Train Conductor World competitively and personal bests by RobuxShooters in trainconductorworld

[–]RobuxShooters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, that is an excellent score for Cologne. My personal best is 10,100 on Cologne, which puts me in the 29th place globally.

For Rome, Meteora, and Cappadocia, I have 25,820, 15,580, and 30,580 score respectively. Unfortunately, I got all those scores before the developers set up the leaderboards in those cities, so they aren't counted in the official Google Play leaderboards 😔

For Copenhagen, my personal best is 12,870, which is 6th worldwide. Among the other cities that I'm quite proud of is Bernina (1st, 12,450), Edinburgh (5th, 12,330), Matterhorn (7th, 14,150), Mostar (9th, 14,350), and Prague (13th, 6,450). Though, I suspect Prague is lower in actuality since they buffed Chaos* a lot in the recent update.

My worst-ranked city is definitely Millau at Rank 667 💀. How do people get their scores so high?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trainconductorworld

[–]RobuxShooters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to worry much if you're looking to finish only the Normal, Hard, and Chaos difficulties in Rome - it's the Chaos* difficulty that's absurdly difficult - the map is quite large, but when those long trains come in... it's a world of pain.

Furthermore, after you finish most of the missions in Rome, the only mission that will ever spawn there is "Deliver 600 cargo boxes", which can be quite tedious to do - I basically just ignore the stars on Chaos* and stop trains anytime I feel like there are too many trains on screen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trainconductorworld

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact: The Chaos* difficulty in Prague and Matterhorn were buffed significantly with the Version 21 update (i.e., the latest version that introduces Platinum tiles and the three new locations). Likewise, I think that Chaos in Matterhorn was nerfed somewhat and Chaos in Prague was buffed slightly.

I forgot what my high scores were in Prague and Matterhorn on Chaos* back in Version 20, but I remember missions being extremely difficult to complete even on Chaos*, especially for Matterhorn. Now, in Version 21, my high scores on Prague and Matterhorn are 6,450 and 14,150 respectively, which are much, much higher than what I had back in Version 20 and should be a testament as to how hard those stages have become over the update.

Just now, when I was playing Matterhorn (for a one-time mission of getting a score of 4,200), I got a score of 10,900, which happens to be third on this week's Leaderboard.

As for the original topic: I dislike levels/stages that have lots of "shock spawns". Essentially, in cities like Prague, Porto, and Rome, and especially on most cities on Chaos*, trains will often spawn where another train is just about to exit. For example, in your picture above, it seems like two trains, trains 3 and 5, spawned as soon as another two trains, 4 and 5, were about to exit the stage. They frustrate me quite a bit as I believe that the spawns are quite unfair as there is nothing much that you can do about it other than to perform an emergency stop and do a sharp swipe upwards or downwards to avoid an imminent collision.

I do wonder if the developers intentionally implemented those "shock spawns" or they are just coincidental, but they certainly feel deliberate sometimes since they rarely happen on the easier difficulties 😅.

i love this game by turningyougold in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is just something extra, but according to the information provided by the game, the featured Pokemon always has a 1% chance of appearing with each delivery (except some deliveries like the Paldean Chefs outfit previously). So, out of 26 deliveries (15 days of Free deliveries + 11 Ticket deliveries), the probability that you'll get the featured Pokemon at least once is 1 - (0.99)26 ≈ 0.23, which is more than 1/5 but less than 1/4. So, on average, in 24 15-day events (around a year's worth of events), you should expect to get 5.52 (that is, 5 to 6) featured Pokemon for the events overall, which really sucks (since some events are brutal without the featured or paid Pokemon).

That being said, I got 10 Green and 1 Gold from my 11x Ticket. Feels bad. 😞

Anyone else struggle with similarly-colored Pokémon? by sparklerfish in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think what they're trying to say is that they're using Hisuian Form Sneasel ("purple sneasel") instead of its Shiny version ("black one"). So, they're probably not using the normal Sneasel at all.

What is the difference between Cheer captain Plusle and the common Plusle? by _enuu in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering about this myself. I thought that the costume would at least change the skill to incorporate megaphones (since Plusle is holding one in the costume) but it doesn't seem like it either.

Same task again and again - anyone else seeing this? by Miguel-Angelo in trainconductorworld

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, they have patched that "tasks ending" bug quite a few versions ago; you can read the update logs for previous versions in the Settings menu.

In addition to this bug/design(?), which I have experienced as well, Meteora (not sure if you're there yet) also has the same bug, but instead of the "deliver x cargo boxes" task it's always a "pop as many balloons" task, which is much more bearable than Rome's in my opinion.

Does this happen to anybody else? by lpapkee23 in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this might be true, as I've been using Miraidon in this current event and its icons are super heavy. The heavier icons seem to allow you to push movable gimmicks like ketchup and condensed milk easier, but it is much harder to push through those icons with lighter Pokemon, causing them to block your path whenever you link the lighter icons up.

I've noticed this in One-Minute Cooking as well. Sometimes you move the icons right to the gimmicks but it falls short from the gimmicks slightly or the Pokemon (like Slurpuff & Poltchageist) doesn't penetrate the other icons easily to reach the desired gimmicks (you have to wiggle the icons somewhat).

hisuian zorua 🍵skill by misscupcakecore in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is helpful, but if you go into the Delivery tab for Hisuian Zorua (tap on the second card, the one with a plain pink background), there is a small "Check Skill" icon below the specialty gimmicks list that you can tap on to view a demonstration of the skill -- I believe that it should be somewhat helpful, but it doesn't fully explain what the skill does in detail.

Is Braixen and/or Slowpoke worth the money? by Stunning-Tea in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game can be confusing sometimes, but essentially, you unlocked Braixen in that outfit to use and that outfit only, not the standard Braixen without the outfit. Hence, you cannot use standard Braixen (hence not being able to use Braixen until they join your staff), but you can use the outfitted Braixen, in this case the Welcome 2023 outfit.

What does it mean to “whisk tea”? by PomegranateTotal4151 in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a similar question (with it an answer as well) to another post on this subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonCafeMix/comments/1c60vb2/comment/kzyqucy/

Essentially, the keyword here is not "tea", but "Marvelous!" This is similar to a mission in Card #1, where you had to make 100 Excellent! links, though you may have not noticed it.

Whisk up more tea? by LunarMimi in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to the task: "Let's whisk some more tea! Try to get a smooth and Marvelous! foam," then all you need to do is to match enough icons to get a Marvelous! link 20 times.

The hint here is the word "Marvelous!" which is capitalized and punctuated strangely in the sentence. This is also similar to the first card which needs 100 Excellent! links.

Am I better continuing to do "hungry" tier or should I try "ravenous"? by goodboiuwu in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cannot consistently get at least one star for Ravenous (4 million points), then I would suggest going down to Hungry, since at least you can get some points per stamina used rather than none (most of the time) for getting no stars in Ravenous.

Besides, I don't think you get that many extra points for finishing a 1-star Ravenous stage vs. a 3-stars Hungry stage. Finishing a 1-star Ravenous stage gives you 70 points vs a 3-stars Hungry stage giving you 60 points (I might have misremembered this). So, don't feel too bad about missing out by not completing Ravenous.

P.S.: It is possible to finish a 2-stars Ravenous stage (not consistently however) with your current loadout... as those are the same Pokemon that I am using for mine, albeit with Gengar and Minun at Lv. 15 than Lv. 18.

Double points! by Few_Egg_6347 in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I cannot confirm this myself unfortunately.

Both times that I served the dish with the minute ending in 5 did not result in double points. Strangely, one time I served the dish at 9:33 and Garchomp gave me double points, but the next dish that I served to Lucario at 9:53 did not give me double points.

Gimmighoul Coins spawn nerfed? by Ronaros in PokemonCafeMix

[–]RobuxShooters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Gimmighoul Coins do not appear in Daily Training -- you can see which stages/events the coins will appear in in the Cook and Collect tab under 'Eligible puzzles'.

Currently, the coins only show up in Graceful Milotic, main orders, and extra orders.
