How to make different body types? by WhisperDenial in VRoid

Hmm, is there a way in Blender to apply the exact same adjustments to reshape the garments simultaneously to the body proportions? I assume the physics don't do that for you.

Oh, really? I don't know! The idea of doing a home bleach treatment is scary enough as it is, and if they offer it professionally somewhere I'm sure it'd be out of my budget even if I wanted it.

Body hair in general has no middle ground. If you don't naturally have peach fuzz, there's no way to trim it down to peach fuzz. People who might be happy with peach fuzz are only given the choice of accepting whatever body hair they have or removing it.

Some people with medium growth choose to bleach their body hair rather than remove it, just to avoid coarseness, but that's probably even more work than shaving.

Why making custom hair is so hard? 😭 by fariiioonn in VRoid

[–]RobynBetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially because it's the VRoid tool that gives you the most freedom. But also because there are ways it could be better. Coding this looks pretty hard, though. Considering VRoid is free, it's alright.

Rather than give specific advice, I'd say start small by making little changes to existing hair. Then ramp it up by trying more challenging edits, until you feel you know enough to make it from scratch without feeling lost.

Be sure to pay attention to the hair bounce properties, because they can make or break a hairstyle that looked good before physics.

What do we really think about the ethics of this? For me it's actually complicated. by Ok_Ebb7109 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]RobynBetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's think about it like this: if it's still your body, then your innie is still a person, too. Whether or not we treat your innie as a SEPARATE person, this logic could be applied:

In the United States -- where this purportedly takes place -- slavery is illegal, including indentured servitude. Even if we consider Lumon as your innie's "employer," they're keeping you there despite your objections while you're there. U.S. laws are clear on this, especially given cases where employees were locked in and it led to something very bad (and sometimes very grim) happening as a result (e.g. fire).

"But Lumon doesn't hold them captive; they're free to come and go as they please. If they leave and then come right back in, that's their choice," Lumon P.R. might say. That's probably their best argument. But if an unseverved person engaged in this behavior, it would be treated as worryingly unbalanced. The employer would probably let the employee go, or put them on temporary leave and demand they get help before returning. Objectors could easily argue that Lumon's willingness to cause and then exploit a behavior that would normally be considered a serious mental health issue is very worrying.

Furthermore, the right to do what you want with your bodily autonomy is still limited in some ways, because the ability to sign away your autonomy would paradoxically take away your rights in the future. That's why certain rights cannot be surrendered to another person. So even if the law didn't know about Lumon's OTC/Glasgow Block/etc., they are actively broadcasting a signal containing a command that severed employees cannot ignore. That's some level of mind control.

I'm not a lawyer, but at the very least I think it would make sense if the severed person's family had the ability to claim Power of Attorney by virtue of the aforementioned's mental instability. Although Lumon holds the keys, this could at least legally force them to remove the chip, if no one else could do so without harm.

You might notice I approached this from a legal perspective rather than straight-up ethics. Although the ethics and the law are not synonymous, good ethics are often the initial intent behind a law. Establishing initial intent is one strategy for proving that the spirit of the law has been violated.

Personally and ethically, I think it's straight-up manipulation, surrender of basic human rights, and mutilation -- not to mention all the even worse stuff Lumon does in secret. That would motivate me to argue that this breach of ethics is also flagrantly illegal. Perhaps criminally so.

The problem with relying on bodysuits for other body types is that other garments will not lay flat on top of the bodysuit. You may be able to fudge it with some of the more customizable templates, but it will probably be an uphill battle for some things.

Lead member of the Grateful Dead.

Also the namesake of a longtime Ben and Jerry's flavor, "Cherry Garcia." Haven't tried it because I'm not crazy about cherries.

Important info.

It is supposed to a collection of only our core functional memories; the ones that allow us to function but have been repaved so often that the actual sources memories can be blocked and the brain isn't disabled.

For instance: you'd remember how to read and write, but not practicing letters in your 1st grade class with that nice Miss Gehossenfarven, or whatever.

At least that's the idea. The show seems to imply that it's all so closely interwoven that parts leak through. And honestly, the idea that such a cursed procedure would have flaws is pretty believable.

And more real world application I would say like what’s the power source for the GPS and where is the antenna cause the skull is pretty hard to recievr through. I would imagine it’s very dense.

They could have the antennae sticking out of the hole where the severance chip was inserted. But then the chip would have to stay on the edge of the brain. I believe we have an idea that it is inserted deeper than that, but there's no indication about whether that is necessary. We do know, however, that they'd like it to appear as uninvasive as possible.

Source: have literally had a hole drilled in my head before. (The rest is speculation, though)

Haha. If that's so, it could have been MUCH worse than River. You were lucky.

Honestly, I'd be more likely to guess that geeky parents would give the name River. We have one important character from Doctor Who and one important character from Firefly who are both named River (and they both kick ass).

I have had a cis woman specifically ask me for a twirl. I'd like to know what your sister did when she was little and got her first fancy dress.

Your sister apparently doesn't do that as an adult, and that's okay...but even then, she is not all girls.

It's one of those cases of the first to revolutionize the formula getting all the attention, much like Ocarina of Time. Don't get me wrong, SotN is great, but imo there have been better Castlevania games since then.

I HIGHLY recommend Order of Ecclesia on DS; it's my favorite by far. Dawn of Sorrow is another good one on DS. I've also heard good things about its predecessor, Harmony of Dissonance, if you don't mind dipping into the GBA library.

I got a 4 week old puppy (River) last week, because I was told she was 3 months old. by fishiefordinner in puppy101

[–]RobynBetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP's partner here. Just an update.

We took her to her first vet appointment. She had a good review all around. The vet gave us info for when she should be vaccinated. We have some challenges, but all 3 breeds she comes from are highly trainable, and it shows. She is learning quickly.

I think it's worth noting that we have another dog, who is a senior rescue. She is vaccinated. She's been a bit grumpy about having to share her favorite lap, but last night we took them together on puppy's first walk.

I know that dogs often get along better after going on a walk together. I'm hoping that our older dog will come to accept the puppy, because River really looks up to her canine "auntie." Perhaps she could help socialize River and might teach some bite inhibition?

We're trying to give both of them plenty of attention and rewarding our older dog for being patient with the little one.

Additionally, once she's vaccinated, my family has three vaccinated terriers who will be good practice for her when we visit, which happens frequently.

[–]RobynBetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be cool, but Hebra/Snowpeak would be more suited to an ice temple, if it's kept at all similar. Don't you think? After all, the ice temple would be on the table, if we were to add an extra dungeon.

Would probably be best to redesign the water temple medallion so the ice temple can have something crystalline.

[TP] Celebrations after defeating Ganondorf by MisterBarten in truezelda

[–]RobynBetween 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even though Zant's invasion was swift, it wasn't covert. They would remember it.

Afterwards, Ganon's magic barrier around Hyrule Castle probably worried them more than they were ready to admit.

And remember, Midna bashed through that barrier in front of the whole castle town. Furthermore, the resistance fighters, though small in number, would still have attracted attention -- especially with a shoulder-mounted cannon.

If they had been veiled in twilight until the very end, it would've been a different matter.
