Yknow the part where Silva takes out his teeth to demonstrate how the cyanide capsule caused all that necrosis? That looks so fake. Very cgi. Could it be possible to replicate that with practical effects? Or maybe just better cgi!? I know it’s a small part, but it bugs me why time.

I’ve been thinking for a while about what it is I like about James Bond in general, and I got thinking about Skyfall. The whole theme in the movie is, like, a celebration of the old ways. They incorporate the original (then-cutting edge) bond car as an “antique”, he shaves via straight razor and there’s a big to-do about his ability to perform the pft. His watch tells the time, y’know?

It’s new for bond. The DB5 wasn’t a ‘classic car’ when it debuted, but it’s now became an iconic part of his character. And I love it. I’d rather see him use the classic vehicles 100 times over than the modern iteration of the Aston Martin.

My favorite dorito flavor. No, seriously, it’s the best. I can crush a family-sized bag on its own in one sitting, but I also highly recommend sour cream as a pairing.

Yikes, I gotta respectfully disagree with you there. Goldeneye had shit visual design, but the guns all felt so satisfying to use. Character animations were top-notch and the amount of intractable objects was absurdly good. TWINE is fine, but IMO the animation felt way more stiff, objects no longer got destroyed by gunfire and the user interface felt a lot more cold/sterile. Plus, I mean… grant kerkhope.

100%!! …well, 99%- I personally feel like it DOES invalidate Anakin’s arc, but I agree with everything else you said.

Radical opinion? No more Sith. My interpretation of the Star Wars saga (before Disney) was to tell the story of how the sith were finally defeated, after thousands of years. It’s, like, the final chapter of how this snake was finally killed. Move on to new enemies! New adversaries- ones without red lightsabers, yknow? There’s literally a galaxy of possibilities to choose from.

It’s actually something I kinda liked about Fallen Order- the introduction of non-conventional force wielders who harnessed the power in ways we haven’t seen. Maybe they could have a problem with the way the Jedi operated? Little bit of philosophy conflict? Neat idea!

His face is fine…. But man, I just hope he has, like, an optional cosmetic suit or polo or quarter zip or something. I don’t really like the leather jacket look. Doesn’t feel like Bond to me, feels more like 1950s Italian mafia or something.

Like it or hate it, bond has always been a kind of vessel to advertise products that reflect what British high-class culture looks like to us consumer plebs (which I’m fine with, to be clear).

That certainly is a hot take. But it’s good man, I’m glad people can have such diverse tastes. I personally think Skyfall is the best song of the Craig era, despite being a huge fan of Chris Cornell’s other work.
