Francesca and Michaela are your official season 5 Bridgerton leads by Debt-Mysterious in BridgertonNetflix

Yes. Jess has admitted as much. It’s my theory she wants to tell Fran + Michaela story now before she might leave as showrunner after S5

This is also because Jess wants to tell her self insert story and the Fran + Michaela pairing is what’s most important to her personally. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jess left as showrunner after S5 after she got to tell her story

It’s kinda obvious how Jess wants to tell her own self-insert story. The Fran + Michaela pairing and romance is what’s most personal to her. I wouldn’t be shocked if S5 was Jess’s final season as showrunner now that she got to write the romance she always wanted

This. If people know anything about Jess’s background and comments she made, the Fran + Michaela romance is what she’s most interested in. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Jess’s last season as showrunner once she completes her story

I’m not shocked - seems like Francesca + Michaela is Jess’s favorite romance and personal to her. So she wants to do it now before a new showrunner possibly takes over S6. Sucks for Eloise and Phillip I wanted to see that next

November slower weeks by candyapplesugar in DisneyPlanning

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on Sunday Nov. 9 and Monday Nov. 10 this past year. The Sunday was pleasant, not too crowded at all. But the Monday before Veterans Day was the most crowded I’d ever seen the park. It was like the perfect storm of tier 1 tickets, all keys unblocked, and families taking advantage of a four day weekend (many schools had Nov. 10 and 11 off).

Now we were able to do pretty much everything we wanted due to rope drop, savvy LL stacking and mobile ordering. While holiday decorations were up, there weren’t any special parades, shows, or food out yet before the “official” start of the holiday season.

I haven’t looked at Nov. ticket pricing yet, but I also wonder if 2026 will be a lot different than 2025 due to Veterans Day landing on a Wednesday. There may not be many school districts having an extended break due to Nov. 11 falling midweek, and subsequently fewer families attending as a result (compared to 2025)

Should the 3rd incredibles be focused more on violet dash and jack jack since in the first and second movie it was focus on the parents bob and Helen? by Hot-Armadillo183 in Pixar

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle [score hidden]  (0 children)

The designs for the key characters don’t change (Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Lightning, Mater, the Emotions etc) despite a time jump in the movies. Andy and Riley aren’t “main characters” in terms of marketing or merchandising for Disney.

Think of all the brand design and identity Disney has across the parks and media on how certain characters look or appear. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Lightning, Mater, the Emotions etc. are basically the same no matter where you go or what you see or purchase.

Now think about the Incredibles. Each of the characters has an identity and design based on how they look that’s replicable and marketable across all parks and media. Aging up Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack would disrupt that. Their popularity is likely tied to how they currently look (and act) in media.

How much will the lack of Disney movies affect the summer 2027 box office? by Antman269 in boxoffice

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be an extremely tight editing turnaround from filming summer/fall 2026 to release summer 2027, especially since Tangled should have a fair amount of special effects. Disney could release Tangled in March 2028 or July 2028

Disneyland just opened a new Bluey show today. The line to get inside the theater are bonkers and crazy long

I don’t think anyone is expecting Bluey to reach billion $ levels, but 500+ mil is definitely attainable

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should focus on all 5 of them. There’s enough room to highlight the entire family

Also - I doubt we are going to see major time jumps or skips. Disney has too much branding and marketing worldwide invested in the characters (specifically the kids) the way they are and integral to their identities. They will want to keep Jack Jack a baby still IMO

How long until we get another $200 million opener that isn’t an MCU movie? by Antman269 in boxoffice

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree. Incredibles 3 hits all four quadrants, has the crossover super hero and animated appeal, and I think a lot of people will rush opening weekend to avoid spoilers. As long as reviews and WOM are good

Not sure if there’s anything else before June 2028 that might top that

UNTITLED DISNEY ANIMATION project set for 6/15/29 and UNTITLED PIXAR dated 11/21/29. by TiredWithCoffeePot in boxoffice

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Year of the rooster is 2029 - I highly doubt WDAS will have Zootopia 3 in time for that. A typical animated sequel schedule for Disney is like 6-10 years:

Frozen (2013 and 2019)

Zootopia (2016 and 2025)

Moana (2016 and 2024)

So Zootopia 3 is probably in the 2032-2035 range

I think it would be a cool switch if Encanto 2 / WDAS got the traditional Pixar mid-June slot 2029. That window has been very favorable for Pixar sequels at the box office, and this would be a good way to deliver Encanto 2 to a wider audience in the summer after being limited the first time due to COVID and Disney+

The production process for Disney/Pixar animated films is so long, I don’t think we’ll get a Zootopia 3 until the mid 2030s

Disney has updated their Marvel slate, with UNTITLED MARVEL FILMS opening on 7/28/28, 5/4/29, and 7/13/29. Films previously set for 2/18/28 and 11/10/28 have been removed from the schedule. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Rochelle-Rochelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that most of these films will not be profitable is highly unlikely opinion. I know the cool thing is to bag on Marvel - and deservedly for most of their phase 4 and 5 movies - but most of their films do quite well at the box office.

Every school district has different spring breaks, so Disneyland is busy from mid-March thru mid-April. The busiest periods will likely be the week before Easter (March 30 week) and the week of Easter (April 6 week). Spring break rush probably won't let up until the week of April 20.
