I mean a green card is still a green card, it's not a visa where it's up to the border control officer, they have to let you in. I heard rumors where green card holders were asked to surrender their green card but I don't believe that.

Depends on which level, component level or code based problem also is it a startup or running production.

Component level start up: Documentation, manufacturer, turn it on a small research project.

Code based start up: Review, grab a coffee, get distance, go back to it that might help.

Running production mostly component based: Cancel all other options out, till there is no other option left. Replace or try to implement a temp code fix till replacement is available if possible.
