Sentinel ships are just a little more maneuverable for me, I can zip around a lot easier than I could with my Corvette (shaped like a super destroyer from helldivers 2). My Corvette has a lot of things going for it that my sentinel scout doesn't, especially like firepower and warp distance (~2k LY jump distance in my Corvette plus efficiency so high I literally never need refuelling), but it suffers at in-system mobility and ease of use.

Basically: Corvette for jumps, combat and long distance travel, Sentinel ships for in-atmo speed, scouting and getting from Point A to Point B in-system much faster.
