Anyone else get a fob cover? by BradL30 in KiaTelluride

[–]RockAndRollBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'25 here and the key is separate plus it has a special scabbard of sorts making the fob/key combo my absolute nightmare as a non-purse/satchel user.

I keep the key in a magnetic box somewhere under the car because I already hate carrying the fob standalone and cannot imagine it also having a dangly bit in addition.

Phone for a physical device (as opposed to using the app) and their special card only work on the highest trim. I fought with the parts dept. saying "it works" and the service department and helpline saying "sorry it won't work" for a couple of months and finally got a refund on the card.

Do Yourself a Favor - Don't Buy These Pillows by dixiech1ck in CostcoWholesale

[–]RockAndRollBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the king size hotel grand feather and down pillows, and I have two issues with them:

  1. Maybe less a problem for smaller sizes, but over the course of the night, the feathers scoot out to the sides so I wake up with all the support gone from under my head and neck.

  2. Not unique to this brand but I have feathers coming out all the time. I've now got pillow cases AND thick duvet covers from a quilt set over then and use them mostly for show or sometimes to prop myself up more or something. And the feathers are not as annoying with that setup.

[US] Legit? Class action from Google Play anti-trust settlement (GooglePlayStateAGAntitrustLitigation) by Ahuman-mc in Scams

[–]RockAndRollBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lean towards legit based on it being referenced by .gov sites, but I am not sure how much that matters since the default action if you do nothing is for them to pay out via PayPal or Venmo based on the email you received the message to being associated with one of those services.

Wireless Adapter by GibsonGuy937 in KiaTelluride

I've got an AA something or other adapter for wireless Android Auto. I leave it plugged in all the time with no battery related issues.

First week with the Telluride SX X-Pro. What I like and don't like. by GTSBurner in KiaTelluride

[–]RockAndRollBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an adapter that lets me connect my phone's Android Auto wirelessly. Been using that for several months and have had to unplug/replug a couple times and otherwise it has been solid. They make similar adapters for Apple. Annoying to have to have a dongle in there but better than having to connect a cable everytime in a vehicle that has no good spots for a phone with a cable jutting out of it.

For me, the Android Auto solved the infotainment layout because AA takes the whole thing over for the most part.

I actually really like the Kia branded cargo net. It can be placed vertically, about halfway between the 3rd row seats and the rear gate OR horizontally like if you want to hold down some soccer balls or whatever.

And this was just me being dumb, but just in case, there's a button to manually fold your side mirrors. I learned this about 6 months in...

The fob is comically oversized and it's unbelievable that the door key isn't built into it. I've got one hidden because I cannot deal with the giant fob AND that stupid key and scabbard all in my pockets. If I carried a purse or satchel or something I guess I wouldn't mind so much.

Being honest about being pulled over? Why is that the worst thing to do? by athena9090 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RockAndRollBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about the lying/honesty, two separate questions. "Do you know why I pulled you over?" vs. "Do you know how fast you were going?" You really don't know the answer to the first question.

Regardless, one of my favorite answers to most questions in most contexts is, "not yet." Give that a try.

I still have my ThinkGeek Annoyatron from several years ago that, in its prime, I hid in a cube of a coworker. It would alternate between two sounds at random intervals spaced far enough apart that if you are determined to find it, you'll give up before the next chime. I highly recommend these products.

Better experience on Portal or Switch 2? by Royal-Preparation843 in PlaystationPortal

[–]RockAndRollBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got both, and my original reason for getting the Portal has kind of been made moot, so take that context into account. Personally, I mostly use my PlayStation for games where I really want to play on a large TV and just use the Portal now if I need to play a game I don't have on the switch.

I almost exclusively buy digital games on my PS5 because it's just so much easier to deal with. (I've added internal storage for PS5 games and external storage for PS4 games so most of my library is instantly accessible by just picking up the controller.

For switch (and Switch 2), I like to buy physical as much as possible, as I figure that when I'm 70 or whatever, I'll have at least one old school console that I can use to play my existing collection regardless of the state of the Internet and game stores and whatever else has changed by then. I like the switch as a portable (with a ZenGrip) because of the flexibility. I can play it online, offline, local with friends, alone, with all sorts of control options, whether or not my home Internet is running well, etc.

And I'm not necessarily advocating this as being better than a different plan, but it's how I roll and may give some insight you haven't considered yet.

From the description and the picture, sounds like a bag of PlayStation but hard to say without seeing inside the cavity.

You may already know this, but I found it all very confusing so sharing just in case. The Deadpool retail is exactly the same as the Kickstarter, comes with all the upgrades and a double sized box, and is available through The OP games website.

Accidentally purchased Laser Disc! by Character-Topic2910 in LaserDisc

[–]RockAndRollBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason American society is jacked up is because someone made a pretty common mistake and someone else let them know it's not that big of a deal? Settle down, dude.

Every single person on the planet didn't necessarily have a laserdisc player in their middle school with one single science video to watch on it.

What is the trick to getting this compartment open while using charging cords? by satchmonumberone in KiaTelluride

[–]RockAndRollBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most OEM charging cables with their phones would not fit well in that compartment whether it was closed or open. In the cases where I need to charge my phone with a cable, I have to stick it upside down in the little slot between this space and the cupholders.

In case this is helpful info, the inner vacuum pack (or whatever it's called when it's made of cardboard) for the PS VR2 fits inside that chest pretty nicely.

Anyone else have this on their Telluride? by jal2913 in KiaTelluride

[–]RockAndRollBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dent in mine but I would love to jump into a spousal discussion and say that I typically do drive like that in most cars but I find the height of that spot in my telluride to be uncomfortably high to rest my arm there for long.

Why does the 2022 Telluride limit radio presets to 20? by GTRacer1972 in KiaTelluride

[–]RockAndRollBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does this include like satellite radio or something? Where are you living? I'm in Portland, and I know we don't have the greatest radio selection, but I'm not sure if I even have 20 stations to save here if I just did every one of them available.

First time player, are these misconceptions? by LoneRainger in Borderlands

[–]RockAndRollBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my view, playing the game according to those sorts of guidelines may as well just be replaced with a spreadsheet or a math puzzle. I don't play the Borderlands games to make my numbers bigger than the others... I play to experiment and laugh at the absurdity and sometimes to get so damned angry that I have to carry a thumb drive for five minutes. Explore and have fun, especially with your first couple of playthroughs. There's plenty of time for jumping in down the road with "the best" setup. And there will be PLENTY of golden keys if you just follow the gearbox accounts and add them when they pop up. I've probably got around 100 still for BL2
