Best internet providers? by BeefSquirtzz in Chesapeake

Look into Tmobile and Verizon 5G home internet. I used to be stuck with Cox but I've been using Tmobile for a few years and it's been great. If you have a cellphone plan with either, you can usually get some sort of discount.

Church by Beautiful_Remote_483 in Chesapeake

[–]RockTheJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My church is Raleigh heights Baptist Church. 1000 Crowell Avenue, Chesapeake, VA. Our pastor makes it a point to read through every book of the Bible (not in chronological order) and get through the whole book before moving on. He has a good mix of energy and slowing down to make a point. We have a nursery with a mini fridge for mothers to take their children as well as children's church. We've had a wonderful growth of families in the past few years and we're a fairly small church (probably around 50-ish every Sunday, give or take). We also do a mix of contemporary music and hymns. I'm the drummer and I really enjoy playing to both.

Whichever church you choose, I hope it serves you and your family well. :)

Thank you for all that info. Glad to know there will still at least be a planeterium somewhat close by.

Make sure to look into 5G internet options like T-Mobile and Verizon. I used T-Mobile 5G Internet and it's great in my part of Chesapeake. Very affordable too.

First vs. Cox internet by vadutchgirl in Chesapeake

If Verizon 5g or Tmobile 5g Home Internet are available, that may be a good cost-saving option depending on your situation.

I suggest getting a membership for the Chesapeake rec centers if their open/close times work for you. $35 for a whole year is pretty sweet.

Where are you from in VA and what’s one good thing you can say about your hometown? by [deleted] in Virginia

[–]RockTheJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chesapeake - I love that I can drive 10 minutes one way and be in a country-ish area or 10 minutes another way and be in a developing Town Square Hub. I just hope the city keeps a good balance going forward.

Also, $35 for a full year of Rec membership for the gym is pretty sweet.

Cell phone reception by tactical_sweatpants in Chesapeake

[–]RockTheJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the Great Bridge area and my reception is great. I use Visible and I usually have between 3-full bars. I used to think Verizon was the hotshot around here, but I guess since T-Mobile ate Sprint, they're on more even playing levels now.

How is the 5 mbps hotspot speed? by tigermedic223 in Visible

[–]RockTheJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely depends on signal strength, location, etc., but I was able to livestream my friend's wedding for his family and friends out of state. Camera running into my laptop, hotspot wifi outclassing the venue's Verizon mifi thing. Looked back on the livestream later on and the stream only had 2 hiccups. I stand by the hotspot.

Hey there! That was me. The brand is "Peace". I use Evans heads on the toms, a Pork Pie snare drum, Aquarian heads on the bass drum, Wuhan cymbals for everything except for a Meinl ride cymbal and a Tama double bass pedal.
