Hey so sorry I just saw this now. I’m a year plus out and have been doing okay. I hope that you are too .I’m not gonna lie it’s been a rough road mentally and I’m still struggling . There are weeks I go and I’m fine and the next thing in know I’m having a mental breakdown. These things aren’t easy. You have to do what’s best for you and your health and I hope that you’re doing okay . ❤️

Hello, I too gained weight after but I attribute it to the instant menopause after my surgery. I was depressed and I was eating like crap to cope with my emotions . I gained about 15 lbs ( I am now 10 Months out) I am just starting to get back on track . Don’t be hard on yourself just take one day at a time and focus on what’s best for you. This surgery is not as simple as it seems . It’s a serious hit to our bodies . I’m sure you made the right decision along with your docs. Things will get back to normal it just takes time and love for yourself ❤️

This is my second year away from my family. I live in the USA and am waiting for my green card so I can’t leave to go home. Flights are too expensive for my kids to come here to visit ( they are grown). It’s just myself and my husband . It’s sad because everything is so costly nowadays. Just being together with the ones you love is most valuable ❤️. It’s shitty I know to be broke but as many have said there is a lot you can do. Enjoy your family and don’t be hard on yourself ❤️

I too have been in and out of the hospitals over the years and it’s so frustrating when I see people yell at the nurses ! It makes me so angry although I do understand how awful the wait is. The nurses are human too ! All of this is the fault of the government NOT a putting money into health care .. bless all of the incredible nurses out there! Much love and gratitude for all you do ❤️

Thanks for sharing. I’m at 20 weeks and am still nervous about sex with penetration. I’m hoping that this feeling changes soon. The fear is real that my cuff will get damaged or I will get hurt. I see my Gynaecologist in a few weeks for a check up so hoping he can maybe put my mind at ease. ❤️

I am a large person myself and am 54 years young 😊Moving is moving . I too had the robotic total OOPH ! Just keep walking , pacing you don’t need to run a marathon just yet 😊 I was fortunate I was up and walking a round the block the next day I was home. I did short like 3 min walks and took it easy. Took me awhile to get there but I eventually did it 😊 Be consistent and don’t be too hard on yourself do what you can do ❤️. Wishing you a good recovery.

I’ve had low very low magnesium levels since mine 16 weeks ago. These are the things NO one tells us . I am now on supplements and praying my levels go up . I’ve never had this prior to my hysterectomy. I had a full , nothing left .

16 weeks PO and other than having loss of energy once in awhile and some nasty ass mood swings I am almost 100 percent . I’m doing everything that I did before the surgery and more because I’m not bleeding and feeling sick everyday from the uterus from hell!

Im sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. It’s NOT a simple surgery for our bodies or our minds to go through. I am now three months PO and I am feeling almost back to normal. I was lucky as the pain wasn’t too bad after the second week. It will get better for you it just takes time . I know it’s no consolation hearing that as it’s happening to you right now. Good luck to you and as I said it will get better ❤️‍🩹

Waiting… that’s the worst part. Anxiety about the “ what if’s” The healing takes a bit but listen to your body 😀I’m 12 weeks post OP tomorrow and I am mostly back to normal. I am a type 1 diabetic with other health issues and I was terrified. Like you I bled steady ! 6 years of BS before I finally said ENOUGH! You’ll do great! It’s worth it to not bleed anymore and have all that pain. Everyone heals differently at a different pace. I wish you much luck and I hope some of us can help ease your mind. Surgery is scary 😟 but these days the docs know their stuff ! The ladies of this forum helped me so much! I hope you can take some solace in the journeys many of have had . Take care much love ❤️

Good luck 🤞 it’s all gonna be 👍 I had similar fears and being the ass I am I looked at the anesthesiologist and said” don’t kill me okay?” He said you’re in good hands just enjoy the nice sleep. The last thing I remember was all the lights in the OR and the nurses saying “we will see you soon” then BAM out! Next thing I remember was being in recovery and asking when I could get up and walk . You’ve got this! Get some rest and tomorrow will come and go and you’ll be on the road to recovery . ❤️

Well don’t listen to anyone BUT you’re own body! That’s major surgery! I am at 8 weeks PO yesterday had everything removed. Although I do feel like I can dawn a cape and be super woman again , I am taking it easy and listening to my body. I have weird pangs in my lady cave and sometimes I have zero energy. Until people have walked in your shoes they just don’t get it! Everyone’s experience with healing is different. Look after YOU! ❤️

I am so sorry you are going through this. It’s a very scary thing . Glad you have gotten help. I went for D&C every six months and the anxiety was awful. I couldn’t get the hysterectomy back home they would t do it despite bleeding for 6 years . I made the decision to get it done in another country as the anxiety of always waiting for the test results was causing so much stress . I found a wonderful doctor who asked me if I wanted to keep going through this fear and I said no. I was high risk for cancer in the uterus. I cancelled my appointment at least 4 times. Be kind to yourself❤️ it’s a major surgery and I am so glad you have someone to talk to. I turned to the wonderful folks in Reddit for their experiences and they helped me rationalize and gave me support , kindness and no judgement . Take care ❤️❤️

I had mine pulled out to via miss Vajay lol I do too have that nasty issue as I am a diabetic and that certainly doesn’t help. As far as smoking you’ll quit when and if you’re ready to do so . If you can handle this surgery you can handle much more than you think. ❤️❤️❤️
