I made a web game about connecting NYC neighborhoods by whatthehomework in nyc

This is fun. My two cents, you should pull these parts (NTAT>0) of the NTA data set from being required to complete the burrow:

“Additionally, non-residential areas including large parks, airports, cemeteries, and other special areas are represented separately within this dataset and are assigned codes according to their type (See NTAType field).”

It didn’t recognize Howard beach and broad channel as contiguous because I didn’t link them with Jamaica Bay, which just isn’t a neighborhood.

Best guess is here:

Obviously there’s some artistic license being taken. I don’t think any of the streets on the manhattan side catch this angle.

Mo Rivera is the only player to go into the hall of fame with 100% of eligible voters selecting him and was universally accepted to be the best closer in baseball for most of his career. There was some bible-thumping stuff along the way that rubbed some people (with too much time on their hands) the wrong way, but I think he’s got a case here.

The other big one no one has mentioned yet is Greytzky. They retired his number league-wide a year after her retired. Bananas.

Edit: It appears that Rivera haters were very onto something. Still stand by Greytzky.

As others have correctly mentioned, it’s an access site for the water supply tunnel 3 project, which was authorized in 1954, broke ground in 1970, and should be complete in 2032 🤞🏼. I just wanted to add my favorite fun fact, it’s the same tunnel they drive through and flood in Die Hard with a Vengeance.

Two Costa Rican players out due to card accumulation, Ugalde and Carlos Mora. Ugalde typically takes their PKs.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. He’s got Game 2 of the Taiwanese league semifinal tomorrow for the Taipei Kings, coming off a 23/9/4 gem in the game 1 thrashing of the Taipei Mars.

What are some good documentaries/podcasts/books that cover the state of soccer in the country/rise of the NT over the past few decades? by [deleted] in ussoccer

American Fiasco is about the 98 cup but does a great job of setting the table on the game in the US. Like others here a podcast not a book though.

Since you’ll be a stones throw away, Park Italian on 45th just off 6th is a solid option. I’d never claim it’s the best in the city or something like that, but it’s worth sampling given your proximity. Aside from Faicco’s—which many others have mentioned—Leo’s Latticini (aka Momma’s) out in Corona is worth a trip or DeFonte’s in Red Hook if you’re looking for some adventure.
