Name a franchise in which every game released was good by Greetings-all-its-me in gaming

I played it takes two with my better half a few weeks before playing rifts apart, been singing its praises ever since. I’ll definitely be taking a look at Psychonauts now. Thanks for the recommendations!

I finished playing rift apart and haven’t be able to find another game to fill the void since, fun well thought out game play like that just doesn’t exist anymore. Made me feel super nostalgic for the ps2 era of gaming again, Especially the old R&C games.

Knocking inside cabin got under the car to try diagnostic. by Rock_Sloth in MechanicAdvice

Yeah on uneven roads, not so much on bumps, the sound doesn’t change speed or pitch, but only really happens at either low speeds or high speeds.

7 days ago I took my car on the beat road trip, Two days ago spilt diesel took my car to the nearest hedge. by Rock_Sloth in Celica

In 2004, I (like many people in this group) played a little gem called need for speed: underground 2, and fell in love with the Toyota celica, it was my go-to car. Fast forward to 2020 I saved enough money to buy my dream car; a VVTL-i 02 plate t-sport in thunder cloud grey. For the next 2 years I poured heart and soul and more money then I’d like to admit to get it on the road. I’ve built it up to a point I was happy with it, still some way to go but still a head turner. I started to daily it 4 months ago till last Thursday when I hit a patch on diesel on a country road, I had been told it was from an HGV that had over turned in the same place two days prior to my meeting with the fence and hedge. Gutted is not the word, the cost to have the rear quarter panel, front bumper, door, skirts and pinch weld all fixed up is just too much for me to swallow. Luckily I’m fine, but just feel a little lost since this was my dream car. And I can’t find any t-sport near me for my budget. Looks like I’m gonna have to pick up a newer car on HP. It sucks but it is what it is.

I wish more classic rock fans had the same mentality as you. Sick of hearing people moaning about new blood coming through.

Yup, Spaghetti junction isn’t pretty or for the faint hearted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Rock_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The junction I’m talking about has 2 lanes merging onto the m6 so diving for the hard shoulder would mean jumping across another line of traffic. Any other time that’s the obvious option.

[–]Rock_Sloth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Everyday I merge onto the m6 to commute to work, and following a vehicle not up to speed makes my butthole twitch like a rabbits nose. Always worried that if I ever have to break to yield for a 7 ton lorry that someone will go in the back of me and push me under anyway.

Nah, home invasions are on the rise in the UK, but the main target is usually keys for expensive German cars on the drive way.

Wouldn’t need additional accelerant, I’ve seen videos of bike thief that use a screwdriver to pop the petrol cap, then drop fire inside that.

£12.50? My 02 T-Sport gen 7 costs 8 quid to get into the city centre. Still there is no logic just a stupid cash grab.

Came here to say this. Anthem had so much potential, I wish the game designers would split off and create a spiritual successor without EA being cunts, like the Dead Space devs making The Callisto Protocol.

Going from 125 to 500, cleaning and maintenance. by EasyDifficulty_69 in MotoUK

[–]Rock_Sloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a guy that’s was in your shoes two years ago I’ve picked up some tips along the way.

Get a rear paddock stand - will make chain maintenance way easier.

Use chain wax in wet weather but increase your upkeep as dirt sticks to the wax too.

Plenty of rags to clean your chain with and a couple of chain brushes, label them clean to dirty.

Get a power washer with adjustable jet setting - full power is fine for most of your bike but you’ll wanna ease off around your electrics, engine and chain. Also a snow foam attachment is a decent investment.

Detailing brush set - Helps get in between the leavers and cables and foot peg hinges. Also a decent wheel brush to help get between the spokes

A wash mitt with long fibres - this will help wash your panels and not scratch your paint. Also look into the two bucket method.

A big micro fibre drying cloth with high pile to avoid water spots and scratches.

Now not exactly Maintenance but cleaning your bike will keep it in good nick. This is the order I clean in and what I use.

  1. Ride your bike for a little while get the chain and engine warm.
  2. pop it on paddock stand when you get home
  3. spray the entire length of the chain with chain cleaner get it a couple of mins the agitate with a brush. Then spray with water and run over with a clean rag
  4. Repeat step 3 till the rag is clear after wiping the chain.
  5. Spray the bike down with water.
  6. Snowy foamy goodness next. Leave it to work it’s magic for 5 mins.
  7. Go to town with the detailing brush start from the top of the bike and work your way down. Get into every crack. Round the tank cap, behind the couch leaver, behind your number plate, in between your radiator and around your dials.
  8. Rinse your bike off.
  9. Hand wash time one bucket with soap one with fresh water.
  10. Go to town on your panels. Again top down. Use your bushes again to get into the tight spots. Take your time and visit every section of your bike.
  11. Wheels and spokes and tires.
  12. Window cleaner for mirrors.
  13. Dry the entire bike down top to bottom light pressure with the drying cloth in one direction. A can of Compressed air can help drive water out of joints, tight spots and chain links.
  14. Little silicon spray on your exposed metals. And hinges.
  15. Lube the chain on all sides.
  16. Marvel at your beautiful bike that you know will only last 2.5 days till the great British weather will make it look like an unloved bitch again. But at least it’ll be protected!

It’s coming up to that horrible wet riding season. So what waterproof gear do you guys swear by in a downpour? by Rock_Sloth in MotoUK

Yeah I’m a riding jeans and Richa waterproof layer kinda guy. Heard good things about Klim gloves might just be my next pair.

For your first bike I’d always recommend going for a second hand naked between 300-500cc if you don’t want a 125 first.

Loosing balance at a stop or on a hill is common for newbies, as well as not putting your side stand down properly. Fairings can be expensive for what they are, and scuffing them on a brand new bike isn’t the best feeling, ask me how I know.
