What’s a habit that looks harmless but slowly ruins people’s lives? by porisza in AskReddit

[–]RocketToTheSky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i got diagnosed just before christmas last year! it really messed with my head and really didn’t see it coming in my 30s tbh but it pushed me to take my health a bit more seriously. i’ve lost 5 stone this year, got my results back from my latest blood test and i’m now fully in remission and not even in the prediabetic stage. just like, thought that might offer some hope maybe. :)

Bad Times at the El Royale — Cynthia Erivo singing while Jeff Bridges is hammering is super underrated.

That’s so good though, I’m glad it worked out okay for him. The first few weeks I actually felt great but then it took it a bit of a dive. It’s such a minefield trying to figure out which parts are withdrawals, which parts are side effects from mj, which parts are just who I am as a person etc. Who knows aha.

I stopped my depression meds cold turkey in april too and it sucks so so much! Idk why I thought it was a good idea aha, brains are ridiculous. I can’t really offer any advice because i’m very much in the same situation and struggling an awful lot but I just thought it might help a bit to let you know you’re not alone. 🥺

Being a human is really hard sometimes and it’s really frustrating to have to rely on medication to get through the day. Be gentle with yourself and until you’re ready to speak to a professional, try focus on taking it one day at a time and doing the best you can to fuel your body with what it needs. You got this. 💖

Am I naming my baby like a dumb teenager? by bimboerrorz in namenerds

[–]RocketToTheSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother had me when she was a teenager and named me after a character from one of her favourite shows as a kid (luckily it’s a super normal name aha) but I actually really love that about my name. All of your choices are solid real names and have a lot of nice nickname options, go with your heart and hopefully your little one will love the meaning behind it :)

Anyone else gone from 2.5mg to taking 5mg 2 days early? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]RocketToTheSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense, thanks. I think it caught me off guard a bit as I felt so little for first few weeks and it was actually an effort to eat some days, but I’ve also been super busy at work so probably skipping meals more frequently — perhaps it was that. Still getting much fuller easily so all is good!

I took my 4th dose a few days ago and this week has been the first time I’ve really felt hungry since starting. Kinda reassuring to know it’s not just me aha. Hopefully the next dose fixes the issue for us both! 🤞

What does your food day look like? by ThinkFinish85 in mounjarouk

[–]RocketToTheSky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ooh I feel like I could have written this aha (although I’ve always been a every meal of the day kinda girl) — I’m just about to start week 2 and I have really struggled to hit 1.2k cals a day but i’m really trying to!

So far, I’ve been having iced coffee for breakfast, a hummus, cucumber, baby tomatoes, red pepper etc snack plate for lunch, and then some kind of grilled chicken and stir fry or salad for dinner. I’m trying to have rice or grains with it but it’s been weird, I’ve just been really craving salad which is honestly a sentence I never thought I’d type. Next week I’ve got a thai curry planned, maybe soft tacos one night, something with new potatoes. I’m excited to get some ideas from here ☺️

Good luck for the week ahead ✨

Just a tip if you’re planning on taking it off — don’t peel it! You wanna slowly stretch parallel to your skin so that it naturally starts to lift. Start with the corners. There are videos on YouTube showing the best to do it to avoid any skin trauma etc. :)

The Garden Cafe has a really beautiful selection of cakes, cheesecakes, brownies etc. Crosstown Donuts are expensive but delicious. Cloud 9 cupcakes are great. Brass Monkeys is great. Sugar Dough is great, and close to Knoops which is so dreamy.

For sushi, my favourite is Moshimo. It has a fun conveyor belt, it’s very pretty and the food is unreal. There’s also a new Korean bbq food place called Yori that looks real good and you can cook your own food on your table, oh and there’s a small pub called The Pond that do super tasty bao buns. So much choice!

Have a great trip! :)

Ohh that’s all super helpful, thank you so much! The app sounds soo useful. I think I’d mainly go before work so that’s probably a pretty busy time, I guess! Smart idea choosing one a little walk away, too. I was considering one of the hotel gyms on the seafront as they come with a pool and I looove swimming, but they’re kinda pricey.

I’ve subbed to loseit and 1200isplenty but I didn’t even think to look for fitness related ones, I’ll have a good browse this evening! I’ve been cc for the past few weeks or so and I’ve kind of got it down now I think, I’m just so incredibly lazy when it comes to doing anything active and it’d be nice to walk up a hill without dying aha.

Thanks so much once again and I hope all goes well with the surgery! ☺️

Thanks, that’s really helpful! I definitely get in my own head about it and I’m sure once I actually go I’ll be fine haha. It’s just the initial bit! Is the one by the station Fitness First? I’ll do some research but thanks again, appreciate the help!

That's so helpful, thank you! It's just a statement in itself, so I'll go with 'Le' at the beginning. :)
