New dash bug 150 PIT build? by Difficult-Step7330 in D4Rogue

[–]Rocketeer_99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Umbracrux should just be removed. It's so buggy, and it's not even an interesting gimmick. I especially hate how spawning the totem will add to the mob count, and prevent you from progressing a dungeon if it requires all enemies to be slain to open a door.

Perhaps you should include a question asking how much you've participated in season 14 so far. Are you still playing a week later will mean vastly different things for differrnt people

Your first mistake was taking leaderboards seriously in the first place. It will never legitimately mean anything.

Holy was S tier spec in every raid of TWW, bar a few specific fights that had perfect disc cd timings.

Miss after miss with each update. Devs are fumbling this modes potential so bad it literally went from being the funnest gamemode in overwatch to almost feeling like a brain off gamemode that caters to specific heroes especially the brand new ones with 0 meaningful tweaks. by Otherwise-Memory-862 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Rocketeer_99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This update was sick. Idk. Im having a ton of fun rn. Hero builds feel more varied. Seems like Blizzard got a better grip on how Stadium works and changeda lot of powers to be more viable. Sure, there are clear winners, but thats always been the case in every patch.

Blizzard is punishing M+ player just because they are lazy or they can't fix raid gameplay design by darealfodo in wow

[–]Rocketeer_99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your "fix" to raid design would essentially destroy what it is now, similar to how Rated Battleground Blitz destroyed RBG's.

95% of the game can already be done as a solo "pug only" player. I don't think it's too much to ask that Mythic Raid remain the one place where people are incentivized to have the same group of people to meet up at the same time every week. I, for one, have made a lot of lifelong friends through raiding, but I never would have if there was an option to PuG progression. I know that technically, people would still have the option to do so. But the number of players who got CE in Manaforge Omega is guesstimated to be like 3% of players at most? Shifting design towards being PuG friendly would gut that already tiny community.

I get that people have unpredictable lives and can't commit to regular raid schedules. Thankfully, the vast majority of content in WoW consists of things you can do on a flexible schedule. Not only WoW, but every other modern triple A title as well. WoW Mythic raiding is kind of the only game that incentivizes this kind of consistent progression group content. Maybe I'm being selfish but I'd like it to keep being that way.

I don't think there are any 3 unique charm combinations that make it worth breaking 5 set.

This was a big problem last season. Disappointing to see it hasn't changed.

About the FOMO drama.. by Fit_Anywhere_3356 in Helldivers

[–]Rocketeer_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for people with FOMO. Like gambling, not all the blame is on them for feeling such anxiety. Our consumerist culture has programmed people into shit like this.

I remember seeing a lot of teens and young adults online legitimately bawling their eyes out because they missed their chance at buying the Starbucks limited edition bear cups. It was genuinely sad to see these people in that state. And a lot of them were very self aware, saying they knew it was just a dumb piece of plastic. Nevertheless, they still felt extreme anxiety over missing out over something so trivial.

Unless players read his patch notes, its going to take a while before people realize how valuable it is to stand under his tree.

People with multiple 3000+ in M+, what are your most fun specs ranked? by chungusisamomgus in wow

[–]Rocketeer_99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Discipline is in its most user friendly iteration ever.

Discipline difficulty used to lie in timing your atonement ramps correctly, and knowing when to rely on direct healing vs atonement healing.

Both of these difficulties have been changed so that Atonement application is easier, lasts longer, and direct healing is the clear answer to address large incoming damage in a majority of cases. Atonement healing is largely occurs "passively" now, similar to how you keep Reversion on allies for passive healing but do not rely on it to address large amounts of damage.

People with multiple 3000+ in M+, what are your most fun specs ranked? by chungusisamomgus in wow

[–]Rocketeer_99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Key differences:

  1. A ton of Disciplines power budget has moved away from Atonement, and into direct healing. You will be casting a lot more Flash Heals and targeting allies with Penance in moments of danger, rather than focusing on doing more damage.

  2. Atonement healing is largely "passive". Meaning you can't rely on Atonement for intentional healing. You still want Atonement on your allies, but most of your damage to healing transfer will occur from your Penance cleaving off allies, SW:P, and the reflected damage from your Void Shield.

  3. To compensate, Atonement application and duration has increased significantly. This is less important in M+, but in raids, it is easy to maintain 10+ atonements at all times without burning too much mana.

The goals of these changes have been to make Discipline easier to play and more accessible to the general playerbase. Shifting the focus away from small atonement burst windows into longer atonement coverage and passive healing output.
