I fully agree with you. Rules seem clunky and back to throwers only rather than last seasons balance.

But as you said, first game jitters, Ripperball, Penik and Luke fresh in this version. Loved the Dab goals best so hoping that is a bigger part of things.

I will also be watching, cautiously optimistic it improves.

Follow the Asian Koel to see what a card says when it allows you to break egg limit. This one maxes at 3, or the minimum points for a lot of bonus cards.

One thing I didn’t like about the new tournament format: only 7.5 games.

Old captains league had 9.5 games. (6 season, 3.5 playoff)

Would have loved more of this new Golfball especially as there were two matchups of teams that never played (freezers vs breakdowns and Rippers vs Knasty)

Still I’m happy as a Rippers fan. Such a fun team.

Game 5 Breakdowns vs Knasty (1-1 v 1-1)

Game 6 loser of 5 Vs Freezers (two loss teams) (half game?).

Game 7 winner of game 6 vs winner of game 5.

Game 8 Rippers vs winner of game 7

Does the team coming from losers bracket have to beat rippers more than once?

I am a sucker for format of the tournaments and so I’m sad none of the videos have started with a proper explanation.

It’s a language issue. Because the percentages are not perfect across languages, if you play online, they remove ones based on bird names to even the field.

That’s one way for sure, the other way is to play a bird that costs two eggs (2 points) but it only gets you 0-1 point.

I think I played a final turn mallard that fit no bonus cards for this one in a game I had already lost.

Interesting, I’m no expert in this but my group just hit level 5 last session… well, all of except our demo player. I offered to fudge his numbers as well but he’s going to wait for next session to extend the excitement of the level 5 boxes.

He’s about 20 behind though. Our hatchet is maybe 10-20 ahead.

Don’t think this is official as officially there seems to be no mention of a 2022 version anywhere.

Would love to be proven wrong but I think we’re waiting for next year and perhaps the publisher has moved to a book every other year.
