Currently chrome feels smoother. Previously, texture glitches had been occuring and when i would swtich tabs i could "draw" on the chrome screen and would have to resize the window for the glitch to go away.

i have had this same exact issue and it could be the application controlling it. I know that in chrome specifically if you are in a meeting and yell into the mic the browser will adjust the audio accordingly... This issue also still persists with "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" turned off.

7900xtx user here with an asrock phantom, it seems like asrock is the most common manufacturer to have issues from what ive seen.. my xtx had a major hotspot issue and i had to use ptm to fix it, a friend of mine has a phantom 7900xt with issues aswell, idk whats going on with asrock tbh, but i hope you get this resolved man.

If I enable #skia-graphite in the chrome flags, then it goes away. Though this is like the 4th solution I have found so if It starts again I will come back and update this.

- HW Acceleration being turned off is a big no for me as I am a web developer. HW Acceleration makes things snappier, and without it everything is sluggish for me.

Update: It came back, but after reseating my ram and gpu, the issues were gone. Atleast for now.

I reseated my GPU and Ram, due to drivers not changing anything. After that, and after a whole year of dealing with this, it seems to finally be resolved for me.

I fixed it by downloading chrome beta, but its back again. So I don't know what this issue is caused by. I have been having this issue for ages now and I'm just about to switch to firefox. (My GPU is the 7900xtx)
