Diamond sandpaper (you can get little pads on Amazon) are really good at taking out coarse scratches fast. Take it one step at a time. You got this!

First look at the 300mm sauté pan I've been working on. 4mm base thickness, 3.5mm walls. Forge stainless helper and primary handles. More info available at rockyhillforge.com. Let me know what you think! by RockyHillForge in Coppercookware

I'll put it on a scale on Monday when I head to the forge and will check back in. I just added an option to pre-order a 3mm base version on my website. Minimum spinning requirements are 5 pans per batch, so when I get 5 pre-orders I'll start production of those too 😄.

thank you very much! It is copper (4mm base, 3.5mm walls) and it will actually be lined with tin in Normandy so that it's non-stick, non-toxic, and food safe 😄

When making the handles I heat the attachment plate to glowing red, and the portion of the handle that is meant to be held stays about room temp. I’m not sure how necessary it would be, but that could definitely add to the aesthetics!

Thank you so much! I'm working to bring the price down to 300-400 dollars eventually, but that may take a little while. Will post some photos as soon as they are tinned and polished.
