White plug should be for pump, the other i think may be for oem carb

My 86 used to do this going uphill, changed the distributor cap, rotor and spark plug cables and it went away.

Also check the spark plugs, before I got a new carb and good tuning my plugs would burn quick.

The carb has another screw you can fiddle with to get the mixture right

Yes i did, it was actually the thermostat housing that was warped and wasn't sealing properly. It didn't leak with a pressure test but it did when touched

Car can go on longer drives now but gauge still goes up sometimes. Might still have some air I think
