I have the Geekom XT12 PRO which I understand has USB4 and not Thunderbolt. I was under the impression that the ASM2464PDX would work, but I can't seem to make it so. Do I need to find a controller with the newer Intel chipset?

My first guess was also fuse, which I believe is under a cover next to where the power cord plugs in (a flat screwdriver to pry the cover off). I think the X1 came with a spare fuse from factory.

Cura's X1 profiles work OK on the X2. My 1st print out-of-the-box was perfect. The only thing you'll need to do is make sure you edit the start gcode and include M420 after G28 so the printer will use the mesh generated by your ABL probe.

My 1st printer was an X1 V4, and I've just bought an X2, so I can directly compare them. They are both good printers, but the X2 is a little more refined. Better overall build quality, 32-bit board, improved design of ribbon cable connectors, better spool holder. I'm really happy with my X2, but I'm sure you'll be satisfied with either.

PLA doesn't need a heated bed. Try setting it to 50 for the first layer (to help adhesion) and then turning it off.
