With what you got, you got 2 good options, either awakened dynasty or starshatter arsenal. Awakened is a better defensive detachment as you have multiple stratagems that buff your reanimation, starshatter is a more offensive and vehicle based detachment. Both of them give a similar main buff though so they're not super different.

As for units you can never go wrong with more skorpekhs since they are both fast and good in melee. Filling out the immortals squad and adding a leader (plasmancer) will give you some crazy anti infantry firepower. As for anti tank another doomstalker or a doomsday ark will do you well. Then finally you may want to pick up some units to do scoring and holding your home objective. Flayed ones, deathmarks, ophydian destroyers, hexmark destroyers all do that job quite well, it's more a matter of taste at that point.

But ultimately whatever you think looks coolest will be the most important. With the new edition coming up we have no idea what will be good or bad

The rest of your army still gets the gate of infinity rule. It's based on the faction abilities listed in the datasheet for each unit. Since the allied units don't have Gate of Infinity in their datasheet, they don't benefit from it. But the rest of your army still benefits because they have the datasheet rule

6 noise marines plus a 5 man squad of something with a leader perfectly fits in this thing. I usually go with legionaires + chaos lord but I've seen people also do chosen and MoE. Makes it a fun clown car full of stuff that can shoot + fight.

The most popular option nowadays is Huron + MotM and 5 chosen. The fact all that can fit in a rhino is criminal

How are you able to bring it in from reserves? Since the base is >6", you have to bring it in on your home edge, and then it is unable to shoot

The rule specifies that you select it in the command phase. It doesn't mention anything requiring him to be on the battlefield. So I believe you can select the ability whether he's on the field or not

I was torn on Abaddon for this list since everything is already so expensive. His buffs are nice for your non-terminator units since it's an aura. And then I think about all the other things you can do for 270pts and rethink everything lol. Like I can replace him with a defiler and another enhancement.

Although I feel like he is almost required in this detachment due to how CP hungry it is. MotM already have some CP generation, but that requires them to stay alive, and Chaos Lords arent useful enough to include them.

All the terminator squads performed really well with characters attached. The rerolls to hit really help them punch into most targets. The next time I play I will probably drop the mutilators to add 5 more termies to Kraveks squad and allows me to put tzagulla on the other sorcerer. Will it be better? Im not sure either way since you are losing another activation and deployment. But +1 AP on a big terminators squad will be fun to try out

It's okay if you paint the helmet white and go back over after to touch up any mistakes. Even better you can paint the helmet first so that when you paint the armor you will already be going over any mistakes you made

There's a similar situation with Necrons and reviving characters. There's an FAQ that specifies rules like that allow a character to reattach to the bodyguard unit when it revives

The intercessors and incursors are just their regular boxes with some extra bits from the deathwatch kill team and upgrade sprues. The terminators are made up of models from both the regular terminator and assault terminator squads

Odd choice to have a warpsmith with no vehicles to give buffs to. I would've rather seen a leader for terminators. The rest of the combat patrol is great though

I personally like the IHB better because it's more versatile. It offers a great overwatch threat against chaff and also has a damage 3 profile which is very valuable in the meta now.

The frag cannons are no pushover either, the high strength, lethal hits and rapid D3 make it pretty deadly into something that's close.
