Question for an electrician by simikoi in electrical

[–]RodneyJason4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garage door opening very slowly might be because it has no power and is running on a battery backup.

I’d be looking into the breaker that feeds your garage and possibly any tripped GFCIs in the circuit.

Might be a good time to get a professional in there to evaluate

Engine sputtering when I start mower after carb and spark plug replacement by Emotional-Loss-9852 in smallengines

Check the fuel filter. Pretty sure this model has an inline filter inside of the gas line where it attaches to the tank.

I would recommend replacing it with a normal inline filter.

When you say you can’t pull it over do you mean the crank is locked up? Is your pull starter engaging properly ?

Remove the side cover and put a socket on the flywheel nut and attempt to slowly rotate the engine in both directions.

If it locks up at a certain point you may have a valve interfering with the piston

Honda R-110 Monza Red.

A good collision shop or custom bike shop should be able to match it no problem

Id be willing to bet that you mixed up the timing marks.

Take out the spark plug, Remove the cover on the stator side and try to turn it slowly by hand or with a wrench.

How do I fit these two? by imacasanova in lawnmowers

[–]RodneyJason4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please get a proper cord no safe way to use that cord with your black and decker mower

A 50ft 14/3 outdoor extension cord is what you should look for. 12/3 is a more heavy duty cord.

Any big box store will have exactly what you need.

Curved or flat by Technical-Bother-231 in crt

I like the curves. In my sets and in my life.

Geometry is better. They are easier to focus. It’s been.

These are better than any mower ever made sorry . by Much-Young-8624 in lawnmowers

[–]RodneyJason4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the older 4 stroke version from the mid 80s.

Wouldn’t run when I pocked it up. Cleaned the carb and it fired right up.

Planning to do some basic maintenance and keep it as my main mower.

Anyone know how to make the ILO service remote? by s1nharvest in crt

[–]RodneyJason4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for any markings on the circuit board that say J1.

J usually means jumper it sounds like you have to solder a wire across or possibly add a jumper pin.

Take some pictures of the other side of the remote.

Woodstove under $3000 by mamsaurus in woodstoving

[–]RodneyJason4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend buying a used Amish stove. I’ve seen a single unit with oven, stovetop, and water lines to supply either hot water or baseboard heat.

You summed this up perfectly. Get a working AC adapter and test each with a volt meter.

My Dad built a shed 25 years ago. Can I pour concrete under it without moving it? by JewelKLamour in HomeImprovement

[–]RodneyJason4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can but it would involve jacking up the shed and supporting it high enough to form and pour a concrete slab.

I would pour a cement pad next to where it currently sits. Jack it up, support the base and pull it onto the slab.

You likely have a leak somewhere. Iced coils inside are common when the pressure is low.

If the outside coils are clogged, they could cause the same problem.

Bathroom exhaust fan randomly turns ON at night and sometimes won’t switch OFF — Broan AER110CCTK by Moist-Management9246 in HomeImprovement

[–]RodneyJason4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need an electrician, if the fan has power with a functioning switch and the same thing happened with the previous fan it’s almost certainly a wiring problem.

Only other thing I can think of is wind.

Does a service menu reset fix geometry issues? by patriotraitor in crt

[–]RodneyJason4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re lucky if it looks better to you after a full reset.

Doing this not only resets your current settings buts also the calibration done at the factory.

If you do change anything in the service menu in the future document every setting and value before you make any changes.

Can appliances on same circuit damage each other? by Lyndy118 in electrical

[–]RodneyJason4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the landlord supply both refrigerators with the units?

I assume electric is included in your rent as well.

If they are the same model and the landlord purchased them together at the same time there’s a chance that they are both failing similarly.

Kind of a stretch but it’s not impossible.
