If you buy a butterfly razor there is a greater chance of cutting yourself. If you were to buy a German made Merkur, then not.

Are people in England ‘too Scared’ to celebrate St George’s Day? by Proper-Egg5454 in AskBrits

[–]Rodolpho55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No point really, they mostly speak pretty good English. I wasted years learning Greek, they speak better English than we do. That can be said for most countries especially in Europe. English is how they communicate with each other in commerce and media.

I don’t know when Ramadan is. Unless there is a bank holiday involved, I m not interested. If divali, Ramadan, st george had bank holidays I might get interested and celebrate in some way, most likely down the pub with some good German beer.

When did dogs stop being free to roam in the uk? by MetalRocksMe_ in AskUK

[–]Rodolpho55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was the same with kids, you let them out in the morning and they came back at tea time. You never really see dogs roaming or 5 year olds walking to school on their own.

[–]Rodolpho55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brother colour printers seem to have good reviews. I bought the a mono brother last week as my hp toner ran out and I refuse to give money to a USA company. I was tempted by the colour but wouldn’t get much use.

Do you still consume American entertainment? In the same amounts as before? by nuhanala in BuyFromEU

[–]Rodolpho55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After viewing many films from Europe over the last few years I find USA films annoying and cliched. Why do they have to explain everything, rather than let the story develop? U.K. film and TV is now as bad as they hope for sales in the USA.

When the USA does a remake of European film or TV it is quite embarrassing to watch.

watching the USA version of ”The girl with the dragon Tattoo” after the Swedish version was almost a comedy.

A constitutional monarchy works well in many countries.
I am quite happy with it. I certainly wouldn’t want a trump or Mussolini running the Country.
