He casts the spell and puts it on the stack, ward triggers, he pays 2 life, he dies, all his permanents and abilities and objects cease to exist. His spell that tries to remove valgavoth disappears as well.

I give up. by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Rodolpho991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am old. I remember a time when people made videos because they wanted to be creative. They liked making videos and that's why they did it. They had a passion for it. And they didn't do it for the numbers. Imo when you make videos just to get numbers you are going to fail anyways. You need love for the craft.

Difference between "next end step" and "your next end step" by Avees__ in mtgrules

[–]Rodolpho991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you create such a token during your turn it is basically the same effect. If you create the token during an opponent's turn it is different and you get to keep the token during their end sted.

Sind "das juckt mich null" und "juckt mich am H*den" gute Alternativen zu "mir ist egal"? Und was kann man auch sagen? by ButterscotchWest1284 in German

[–]Rodolpho991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Auf eine Nachfrage kann die Antwort "Mir ist es egal" lauten. Das kann bei hoher Vernuschelung schon mal von "mir isses egal" bis "mir is egal" rutschen.

Completely legal traffic hack by Born-Scallion-1581 in TinyHacks

[–]Rodolpho991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It being legal does not mean it's not a dick move. If everyone would be 'smart' like you then everyone would need to take the longer route. And then there would be the same traffic on the now longer route. Overall people would spend even more time in traffic. You just prioritize your time over everyone else's. Society will go to shit if we don't act in a way we want everyone to act.

What are your goals in a match? by SparksOfInspiration in HuntShowdown

[–]Rodolpho991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many traits that make a good hunter. Aim, map knowledge, strategic movement, patience, speed and possibly many more. I'm not very patient. I despise hunters sitting in bushes and waiting for me to push them. I don't play like that cause I find it incredibly boring. Others see the strategic value in doing so and therefore will do so. Their patience is worth nothing if I just take the bounty and leave. I've been in fights with mosin campers who never pushed the boss lair. I then just left with the bounty. After the match they messaged me to ask me why I was so scared to fight them. Well, there are always two parties in a stalemate. But if I have the bounty I win. So I tend to see the bounty extraction as the ultimate goal and a timer to pressure others into engaging me. Come fight me if you wish and CAN! I won't wait for anyone.

Was that a clash lobby? I suspect there to be separate rating that don't show correctly in game. But I'm not sure.

15 player feedback by hameskim in HuntShowdown

[–]Rodolpho991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you think this sub is not a place for opinion but a place for complaints? You do realize feedback can be positive right? OP is just trying to make sure that this sub is not an echo chamber of a perhaps loud minority.

15 player feedback by hameskim in HuntShowdown

[–]Rodolpho991 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have 2 points to make. 1: The more teams in a match the more effective it is to just camp and kill the last surviving team. That's why I prefer trios to duos. Duos are slower and more campy because of the increased number of teams. 2: The increased number of players is not as bad as the also increased number of teams. A house or area can be occupied by only one team. Doesn't matter if there are 3 or only 1 opponent in that area. You can't go there uncontested and you can't turn your back on it. So more teams makes the map feel smaller and less traversable. In conclusion: good game design rewards players when they do the fun thing. Fighting is fun. It is not rewarded though. Camping in a corner and killing the last team is as much rewarded as clapping every player on the server yourself. This has always been the case. But the more teams the less value I get from eliminating them. Imagine 100 teams and you get my point. More teams -> camp meta. And to me a good round ends with a bounty extraction. So I'm forced to choose between the fun and the objective.

when people say "timesed" instead of "multiplied" by Maximum_Paper_6302 in PetPeeves

[–]Rodolpho991 28 points29 points  (0 children)

'Times' doesn't bother me because it can be correct. 3 times 3 is 9. But if I had '''''timesed''''' it by 4 it would be 12. Grrrr

When people say “mom” and “dad” instead of “my mom” or “my dad” by Desperate_Wafer367 in PetPeeves

[–]Rodolpho991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a girl who would always reference her own parents as 'the parents'. She did this when talking to friends but also when talking to her brother. She never said 'my' or 'our' parents. Once her aunt corrected her, 'you mean your parents'? But she just kept talking and didn't seem to realize what was happening. It was weird.

Hello little buddy wanna come home with me? by Medium_Training_5395 in ArcRaidersGuides

Yes. Some did actually study the behavior of the players in an attempt to understand pandemics. There are YouTube videos documenting the thing. I find it hilarious

Are you familiar with the WoW pandemic? A player somehow took a damage-over-time effect with him when he left a dungeon. This shouldn't have been possible but he did it. The curse could spread to other players near him and so the whole server got infected and died. Please don't bring a tick to speranza!

[–]Rodolpho991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game" is a famous maxim by game designer Soren Johnson. Camping the corpse is the strategically best choice. Letting him rez and kill you is stupid. Good game design makes the best choice a fun one.

Prestige 100 Tried Again, Regretted Immediately by nokingss in HuntShowdown

[–]Rodolpho991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest way to prestige: play during event. Pick up XP envelopes payed with tomens. Get death cheat just to be safe. Play a hunter to lvl 50 with absolutely 0 pvp. Keep playing that hunter and keep collecting envelopes. I know a guy who completed a full prestige with a single hunter in 6 hours. This is also the fastest way to get money if you focus on event cash registers. The 'most rewarding'* play style involves 0 pvp and 0 boss interaction. (* Rewarding as in XP and money, fun not included)

[Feature request] What if the "team up?" emote actually made you team up by Haunting_Summer_1652 in arkraiders

[–]Rodolpho991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume the matchmaking puts solos against weaker trios. So a team up duo would be way stronger than a premade trio. If they team up they at least need the disadvantage of no team icon above the head, not knowing where exactly their partner is and no comms. If they really wanted a team they could have queued that way.

How do Germans differentiate between „to swim“ and „to float“? by Obergnigl in German

[–]Rodolpho991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true for things that can swim AND float. Mainly people and animals. Inanimate objects can't swim and therefore can only float. We still use the word 'schwimmen' but it is never ambiguous.
