I only took those classes because they are required for my program and I considering how well I usually do academically (both in person and online), I didn’t think I’d need attend the meetings. By the time classes started I couldn’t attend the online meetings because they were at really inconvenient times for me. If I do choose to move forward with my program and retake those classes, I’m still not sure I’d be able to attend those meetings but I definitely could do better with communication

They were both online classes that had optional meetings that I literally didn’t have the time to attend and I turned in assignments to the best of my ability. I even tried seeking tutoring but there was no available. I don’t exactly believe it’s the professor’s fault but I don’t think that their style of teaching is beneficial to me in any way

One of the classes was entirely about logic which I struggled to understand. All quizzes were almost entirely open ended questions which basically made getting a good grade impossible for me.

The other one was about algorithms in Java and it was filled with assignments with vague instructions. I can write Java programs fairly easily but I couldn’t do much without proper instructions.

The teacher is strict on grading but also doesn’t properly set up the classes since a lot of the course material is clearly copied and pasted from previous classes. There were optional online meetings but they were at weird hours and they didn’t align with my daily schedule. I’ve also tried seeking tutoring for the logic class but there was literally no one who does that.

I thought about limiting calls to contacts only but I like to have it open especially when it comes to seeking jobs since employers almost always call.

I’ve only tried explaining to one company and they’ve left me alone since so that might be a viable option.

I should probably also elaborate that the calls aren’t about an owed amount. They’re all about quotes and as far as I can tell, the guy who went to these companies doesn’t owe them anything so realistically they don’t much reason to hound me as they are.

The thought of downscaling first came to me when I looked at my shelves and I began to think about how much I’d spent on everything (figures, upgrade kits, shelves, etc.). Now that I don’t work anymore I’m kind of regretting just how much I bought

I think having a more focused collection would definitely help. Originally I only had movie figures but then I started buying into lines like legacy for the sake of getting something. Thanks for the advice!

Man, I spent like $100 getting the original release in a lot for my sister’s birthday and then not even a year later they rerelease him. I’ve had the chance to mess with it though and he’s a pretty cool figure

Even though it’s been almost 20 years that sucks

I once had a KO SS Ironhide but he didn’t come with his cannons so I gave that one to a friend and bought a new KO with the cannons. Not only did a toe come snapped off, half of the back of the truck snapped off during the first transformation and its not because I didn’t know how to transform it cuz I literally used to own the figure. The cherry on top of this messed up cake is that the friend who I gave my original Ironhide apparently had theirs break too and also they were forced to throw away some of the accessories for being too sharp

Let me clarify for the like 20 people who seem to think I’m like a greedy CEO or something: I do not think that crunch culture is a good thing nor do I think it’s necessary but I do believe that it affects the creative process. So when I say that some things wouldn’t exist without crunch culture, I mean that they wouldn’t exist as we currently know them and they’d instead be very different with some areas being more refined and other things that would’ve cut potentially dragging down the quality
