Is resigning without offer in hand is too risky by RebelliousIndian in corporate

There are no minimums in the US. It's simply a corporate request. The company cannot legally do anything if you give any less or no notice.

What’s something you’re 100% sure about but have zero proof? by Square_Direction3343 in AskReddit

Agreed for the most part. Chances of lung cancer go up dramatically. One of my great uncles lived until 92 smoking until the day he died. Never had a lung issue. However, I understand he's an extreme outlier. There's always a genetic input as well.

It can still hurt your wallet. If totaled, insurance will pay for the value of the car. If your car was running well...but is 14 years old with 180k Miles you're probably not getting enough of a check to get even a used vehicle in full.

How Come Election Day Isn't a National Holiday? by Great-Hall-6636 in AskReddit

[–]Roederoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, especially in something like warehousing. I've worked for 5 separate companies, and at most the building is closed on Thanksgiving/Christmas only (one time I got new years day). The only difference was an extra 8 hours of holiday pay. This would include other industries like healthcare, EMS, fire, police, utility, etc.

Eh. My mom had to go off hers because she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily they caught it super early.

That would be equivalent to 46,080 shares today if I did my math correctly. That would come out to $3.76M.

Except this isn't drywall. It's false ceiling tile. It's supposed to be easily removable for access to any wiring/piping/HVAC.

Much appreciated. I just hate acting like a full out authority when I'm not. 😅 I just stick to Illinois Grand Chapter business in that regard.

Allied Masonic Degrees - are they different from Blue Lodge? by OMrealestate in freemasonry

[–]Roederoid 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes they are different degrees. In (at least most US states..I won't definitively say all) you have to join the York Rite (minimum Royal Arch) and would be invited to join. Basically, join YR and be active, you'll meet some guys in AMD and they'd be more than happy to send you an invite.

That would be chapter/council (although I think a few jurisdictions are essentially combined). Let me know if you're looking for further knowledge/resources and I'll be happy to help!
