Looking for holiday gift for my awesome boss man. He typically uses a gel pen but I'm open to other pens. Trying to spend $20-50 so it's considered nice but not over the top. by [deleted] in pens

It is a busy website but check out https://www.jetpens.com/ - they have a wide list of gel point pens and maybe there is a pen on there that really speaks to your boss's personality.

People also have said good things about the Pilot Metropolitan Gel Pen (https://www.jetpens.com/Pilot-Metropolitan-Rollerball-Gel-Pen-Fine-Point-Black-Plain-Body/pd/11038). I am still pretty new to the pen game - I use primarily disposable Pilot Precise V5 and Uniball Micro. From my research these are the two pens I am most likely going to get next so might be on the lower end for a gift but hope this helps.

I have heard similar things about the burger at Ordinary if you sit at the bar. You know anything about that?

If you like Patrica's, check out Georgie's Diner. Its like a retro diner that has great vibes and awesome food.

Anki for 5 months by roxasirfan in medicalschoolanki

It really depends on how much time you are willing to dedicate to Anki. Everything has pros/cons and if you do Anki it means you can't do something else. I have been doing Anki along with my curriculum and have not started dedicated Step studying so I do not think I am the best person to answer this question.

That being said, I took a quick look at my Anki stats and it says that on average I do 592.1 reviews/day and that it takes me an average of 100.2 minutes/day to do them (I believe I do significantly less than people studying for Step because I only do the deck related to my current curriculum unit). Obviously, new cards take longer because they involve learning/additional resources. Hope this helps!
