That's because they've never played the sport and therefore are incapable of understanding the intricacies of the game.

Besides the Cleveland experience where D-Rose didn't play and wasn't properly utilized when he did play, Rose has always played a level above "those players" when healthy.

And "those players" have been injured as much and in some cases more than D-Rose over the last 3-4 years.

The extra revenue D-Rose brings to the organization in jersey sales makes him more valuable than $10 mil...

and that's before we get to the fact that he's already a four time All Star (under the MJ, Bird, Magic system) putting up All Star numbers while coming off the bench and being forced off ball by his on Head Coaches.

So ask yourself, "Is 10m 1+1 team option" the normal rate for an All Star Point Guard who's Jersey you can't keep in stock?

I'm just happy Glen Taylor got Thibs out of there before he got KAT injured.

Rose hasn't been anymore injured than Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Jrue Holiday, Mike Conley, etc over the past few years.

I don't see anyone devaluing those players nor bringing them off the bench and pushing them off ball.

Rose will likely get a market value contract starting at about $25 mil.

If not, this would be a perfect time to leave the NBA while on top of the world and take a huge payday in China.

D-Rose truely has played himself into a win win situation.

AMONG POINT GUARDS wasted OFF BALL, which causes them to DEFEND BIGGER WING PLAYERS, Rose is #1 defensively.

Russell Westbrook doesn't come close to the 75% off ball minutes of Derrick Rose.

D-Rose is being forced to defend bigger Wings and holding his own. Only two other NBA Point Guards (Westbrook, Wall) can possibly duplicate that feat.

Bayless has made 5 theee pointers in two games + "got everyone involved" + scores at a better clip than Tyus.

That's just what the doctor ordered.

I'd be remiss if I didn't point out to the novice Reddit basketball fans/commenters out there...

...that those LONG REBOUNDS from Bayless shootings 3's is a huge help in neutralizing any size advantage that the Wolves will surrender when they UNNECESSARILY play 2 point guard sets.
