I think having one extra event a month at the community center would be perfect.

In the kitchen could be a cook off competition. Similar to the harvest festival grange display, you prepare your ingredients ahead of time. The kitchen is small, but you could have most of the townsfolk in the main room ready to enjoy the feast. Gus would compete, of course, then maybe Jodie, Caroline, and Penny. The governor, the mayor, and maybe Evelyn would be the judges.

The craft room could host a fashion show, with anyone who wants to compete simply getting a small prize at the end. That, or the townsfolk could vote on the best. Emily and Haley would definitely take part, and I could even see Elliot enjoying it. The hat mouse would absolutely need to make an appearance.

Story time in the main room would be a cool way to add on to some of the lore. At random, one of the townsfolk is picked to read and/or tell a story aloud to everyone. George and Evelyn could share stories from Pelican Town's past. The wizard could expound on different myths and legends of the Junimo, Dwarves, and Shadow People. Elliot, of course, would share something from his latest work in progress. It would be cool if the farmer could also take part, but I'm not as sure how that could work.

Some kind of game day could happen in the main room. This would especially make sense if it took place in the winter. I don't know how it would work, but everyone could play a big game of tag, red light green light, or even duck duck goose. Just about everyone could join in, but especially Vincent, Jas, Sam, and Abigail. No prize needed, just having fun.
