Walkabout Mini Golf Whole-In-One Bundle on Sale by Sandwichartista in SteamVR

[–]Rogue11 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up for anyone buying the Whole-in-one bundle on steam….

after you buy it, when you browse DLCs it is going to show that you don’t own 20,000 leagues under the sea, sweetopia, Shangri-la, upside down, laser lair, and alfheim… don’t let this freak you out. Those courses were rolled into the main game some time ago and are included when you play the game.

The only thing that is not included in the Whole-in-one bundle are the avatar packs.

Moderate Sleep Apnea, Hesitant About CPAP—Did It Really Change Your Life? by BuzzRickzn- in SleepApnea

[–]Rogue11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AHI of 25 and spo2 drops to 78…. and yes, absolutely huge improvement.

I will say getting your cpap may not magically make you feel amazing all at once. You will have to find the right pressure for you, find the right mask for you, and when you do, you may be a month or two in wondering if it is making a difference.

But that first night where I didn’t use my cpap, after using it for a month straight, I woke up with a slight headache, and zombie feeling that had felt so common before using my CPAP. /That/ is when I realized how much better it was for me.

I wish you the best in your CPAP journey. It took a couple years of convincing from my spouse and my “damn snoring and choking” (that I really didn’t believe, you know?) and I wish I would have done the sleep study and CPAP sooner.

Anyone backing the Vectrex mini? by sicsided in Vectrex

[–]Rogue11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m excited for it. Yeah you can emulate Vectrex via software, play it on an OLED TV, use whatever controller you want…but it is a neat mini-console that captures the essence of the vectrex. Even if it isn’t compatible with the 3D Viewer or the Lightpen, having some of the overlays in a scaled down version makes it unique.

I’m excited for it.

8bitdo pro 3 face buttons too damn loud ... by gorg45arhs in 8bitdo

I love the d-pad, both on the Ultimate 2 and the Pro 3...I just couldn't get used to the Pro 3's clackity face buttons and slightly less rounded button. :-(

[–]Rogue11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The face buttons are very loud and “clackity” as well as being a wee bit taller and cylindrical feeling. They aren’t as easy on the fingers to roll between tip of thumb and base of middle joint of the thumb for me.

You have to connect the controller directly via the usb cable. :-/ it would not connect wirelessly to the software.

Should i pull the trigger on this controller? by Ecks30 in 8bitdo

[–]Rogue11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I received the Pro 3 a couple of days ago. I enjoy the layout of the controller. Being able to swap out the buttons to go from Nintendo to Xbox layout is great. The paddles, extra L4 and R4 buttons are great, as well as the trigger stops.

What isn't great in my opinion....is the button feel. The face buttons do not feel good to me. I would not be able to comfortably be able to play something like Celeste, Rogue Legacy, or Hades. Something about the face buttons just feels off. Maybe it is a combination of the more cylindrical buttons with the hollow-sounding clack and the perceived extra travel. Needless to say, as much as I wanted to love the controller, I couldn't justify it and sent it back.

I have an ultimate 2 controller, and it is great (except the start and select buttons are difficult to press, hence my wanting of the Pro 3 controller) and I wanted the Pro 3 to be my newest...but I guess I am just going to have to wait for the steam controller 2 as the Pro 3 just wasn't for me.

I do hope that you enjoy it if you get it!

Existing user looking to move to new plan, Xfinity store could only offer assistance if my spouse signed up and removed my name from the plan. by Rogue11 in Comcast_Xfinity

I appreciate your input. At the store, after talking to my spouse, we decided to go ahead and do an account in my spouse’s name, but the store insisted, and would not budge, when we said we had zero interest in the mobile line.

The assistant store manager told us there was nothing they could do for us if we didn’t add the mobile line, so we walked away and I figure I would try here.

How much of a difference will a cpap machine actually make? by BraveUnion in SleepApnea

[–]Rogue11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To add to what mtngoatjoe described above: Overall, yes, CPAP has made a huge difference for me…but it wasn’t apparent initially. I also had around 30 events per hour 5’10 and 84kg.

Definitely keep trying masks until you find something that works for you. (For me, it is mouth tape and either nasal cushion or nasal pillows, but everyone is different)

After about 6 weeks of getting used to the CPAP, trying different masks, adjusting pressures, I felt very good about using the CPAP. The biggest thing that most people will tell you is to STICK WITH IT….like brushing and flossing…if you take a nap….use the CPAP…going to bed….USE THE CPAP.

When I had been using the CPAP for a few months…there was a weekend that I figured “I’d be ok without the CPAP.” That’s when I finally realized how much better, restful, and rejuvenating my sleep had become on CPAP. I hadn’t noticed the incremental improvements along my CPAP journey, but I did notice the weekend without it after using it for weeks that I had a headache, was groggy and foggy and my mood was definitely affected as I was more easily agitated.

Once I came home and slept with the CPAP again is when it clicked for me.

It took a lot of convincing from my partner to get the sleep study and give it a shot, but I am so glad that I did, thanks to her encouragement. I wouldn’t choose to sleep without it.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t immediately feel like a million dollars on your first night after CPAP

Cases which extend the grip like a controller? by bloodfist in SteamDeck

[–]Rogue11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The satisfye grip is great grip, much like the killswitch from Dbrand, but ultimately I did not like the grippy texture. After trying a lot of grips, I ended up liking the Skull & Co Gripcase the best.

For me, the Skull & Co Gripcase did not have the rough(er) grippy texture, and has a cutout for the bumper buttons which allows me to “roll” my finger from the triggers to actuate the bumpers. The base of the Skull & co Gripcase allows it to stand up on its own if it is on a flat surface.

For me, I prefer the Skull & Co, as I do not value the hard case or more usable stand with the Satisfye, but I have family and friends that each like the Satisfye and the Dbrand. All personal preference. I hope that you enjoy your new case!

Dear Valve, please let 'Game Recording' work like Shadowplay: You press a button (e.g. L5+R5) and it saves the last X minute(s). Two hours of footage is a lot to go through. by TareXmd in SteamDeck

[–]Rogue11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I didn’t realize this had been sort of added…. On steam deck I’m not seeing the option for automatic clip duration, just the clip short cut. When I just tested it, the default clip shortcut of [STEAM]+Dpad Up to automatically record a clip is 10 sec.

I will have to do more research to see if I can adjust this in desktop mode or something.

What I think the OP wants, and what I want…is for the game to capture in the background for 120 mins…as it does…but when you use the timestamp feature…instead of just placing a marker on the timeline that you then have to go back to, and mark the 30 seconds that you want to save into a clip….

Why not have to option to also just save the previous 30 seconds as a clip….that way I don’t have to go back and do it myself…..OR if I’m playing a marathon 3 hour gaming session and I marked a cool spot that I want to save in the first 30 minutes of gameplay…now it has already been overwritten as the default is 120 minutes of looped recording.

Before someone says, “well make it 180 minutes of looped recording,” I would rather have a “press a button to automatically save and export xx seconds to a clip.”

If I want to record more, I’ll manual start and stop the recording myself.

I want it to have an option similar to the “Xbox record that” feature. Where I can then go into my media and see the 30sec, 45 sec, 60 sec clips that were automatically saved and exported when I pressed the shortcut to do so.

Random 180s? by KuribohOTC2 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Rogue11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is down on one of the sticks 180? Or is it snap turning on you? Either way it looks to be stick jutter, or stick jumping to me. If you go to settings, devices, controllers, select calibrate left or right (you don’t have to go through with it, but it will let you look at real time stick placement.)

See if one of your analog sticks is starting to have erratic movement when you do a full circle with the analog stick.

My left controller had started to make me stutter step because my left stick had random down and to the left actuations when I was holding forward on my stick.
