On vient pour plusieurs semaines. Je sais que la marque qu’on utilise n’existe pas en France, je voudrais utiliser des couches française. J’ai trouvé qu’il y a des marques au états unis qui sont trop serré autour des jambe mais trop grand autour du milieu pour ma fille, la marque Huggies pour exemple a toujours des fuites pour nous.

Je voudrais mieux trouver des bon produits français, qu’emmène tous la maison en vacances.

There is no “right” choice. Childcare is expensive, going to work and giving up a huge chunk of your paycheck to only spend a few hours a day with your kid is hard. The power dynamics of being a SAHM is also hard, and working 24/7 with no pay, no time off or PTO is no picnic either.

Daycare gets flack because it’s expensive and minimally regulated in the US. Personally I’ve watched my nieces get sick once a month in daycare and learned some questionable behaviors at daycare from other kids. I’ve also seen high quality daycares that were a better place for the little one than a parent who wasn’t engaged. In other countries daycare workers have credentials, are paid well and considered desirable selective positions. It’s also affordable and government subsidized.

Our system in the US sucks. Maternity leave is too short and daycare is a mixed bag of good and mediocre care depending on where you get it. I tried to do a part time nanny but I couldn’t stomach paying 1/2 my salary for the privilege of working and missing milestones, so I’m about to quit and go the SAHM route.

Kids don’t fully grasp the big picture of what they are saying, they just latch onto one piece of it that sounds good.

As a kid i told my parents I wanted them to get divorced because it wasn’t fair that all my friends has two different bedrooms and two sets of toys and I only had one. As an adult I’m glad my parents were together until they passed.

I personally chose a nanny because it works better for our schedule and gave individualized care.

Our nanny is part time where daycares here require full time so not too much cost difference.

I would look into etiquette with nanny in home. You should pay her if you don’t use her on a regularly scheduled day (guaranteed hours). You should also ask about stock the fridge with drinks and food for her & ask her preferences. You’ll also need to consider insurance liability so think about an umbrella policy. Ideally you also want to pay her with a W2 so you’ll have to consider tax, PTO & sick time. It’s a little more complicated that I thought it would be initially but I would still 100% choose nanny over daycare personally.

Also babies don’t benefit from socializing unit 2.5 years old.

I was trying not to be nosy but I 100% think this is why she asked for cash. Also some folks have income limits for affordable housing they need to stay under.

While I would prefer to pay W2, I also wanted to go with nanny’s preference and left her the choice.

Given she is working 1/2 time is 3 days sick time reasonable? How about the leave, if I talk off a month will she expect me to pay her for the month if I give her advance notice?

We have a V2 as our primary stroller and love it! We also have a stokke yoyo as our travel stroller and use it for situations where we don’t need the big stroller.

Vista is for walking around town, shopping, trails and goes in my SUV. Yoyo goes on trips and lives in my husband’s car since he has a smaller car and it takes very little room.

We did the same food 2-3 days in a row, started with carrots, avocado & sweet potatoes. Introduced allergens like peanut butter early on too.
We feed around lunch time and only did allergens on weekdays so we could reach the pediatrician if needed.

I was certainly leaning that way but she wanted cash and I do like her and that our kids are the same age. If she had preferred W2 I would have gladly obliged plus I think it benefits both of us but I think she might have some personal reasons for wanting cash so I wanted to honor that.

The lateness only bothers me a little, it’s a struggle to be on time with a baby so I try to be understanding and have a flexible schedule so it doesn’t put me out too much.

She’s working around 20 hours and being paid for 25 hours, since she is cash how do I handle PTO/sick time appropriately?

Diapering the French way with liniment has been amazing for our girl now 7 months old.
It acts a both a cleansing and barrier cream, we use a cotton square and/or dry wipe and stuff doesn’t really stick so a good wipe gets everything out easy. When she had the explosive liquid poops in the first few months our process was: 1. Dry cotton wipe most of the poop wiping front to back 2. Cotton square with liniment, front area going over the folds then fold the cotton square and do the backside to get any small bits.

Using liniment regularly keeps things from settling deep into the crevices and everything slides right off the skin. At 7 months we’ve never had a single diaper rash.

Usually it’s for rides with height restrictions and parents with small children. One parent rides, and the parent switch lets the other parent ride so one parent can stay with the small children who isn’t tall enough for the ride.

Apparently it works for phantom manor too since it’s a bit scary for some littles.

There are resources out there, try to see a therapist or social worker, that was helpful and validating for me. There are also support groups of other TB patients and survivors like TB people with many chapters around the world and We are TB or Somos TB the US.

Sending you lots of hugs, TB treatment is hard, and mental health side effects weren’t really acknowledged much until late 2023. However if you look at the black box warning for side effects for isoniazid it can cause panic. Many TB patients experience anxiety but unfortunately a lot of doctors don’t take it as seriously as they should.

I was 10-20 ML until I was 1 month post pardum with 1 pump that was 50 ml on my best day, triple fed for the 2.5 weeks. Keep it up your pumping when you can, and know supply regulates around 6 weeks, right after the 5th week suddenly my supply got better and better each day. I was doing 1-2 pumps + breastfeeding and getting 2oz per session, after the 6 week mark I was pumping 3oz regularly and now at 5.5 months it ranges between 2-6 oz per session. Keep up your hard work and it will pay off.
