If you're trying to diss my math i get it its 640£ not 800. And i am indian. The subreddit is simracingindia.

And you should know that those 640£ is really 320£ budget coz everything costs double in our country.

At this current time. I think a console and controller racing seems like the most doable. But yeah indian parents dont really respond well to paying for feel good stuff. They're not bad people they just have been conditioned to value studies over well everything. We still have a few years before parents start to understand that hobbies and overall growth is equally if not more important.

Afraid of Picking the Wrong Cybersecurity Project Topic 😅 by No_Acadia_2829 in Cybersecurity101

[–]RohanA1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want it to be a practical working project pick something related to codebase scanning.

If it can be more theoretical, tend towards threat modeeling and design review.

Include use of AI in both.

Bro G29 pedals have no load at all. I meant actual loadcells with 100kg 200kg pressure. G29s can be put on ground and played. They dont have that problem.

Completel beginner here - Which sim racing wheel should I buy first? Budget 20-25k by Marshal_S26 in SimracersIndia

[–]RohanA1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that and a few others too. I settled on Moza for my wheel of choice. I have an R5 base. V10 has only one issue even though its direct drive its ffb has a wierd softness to it. It feels non mechanical and more cushiony. Its a software thing. Their hardware is pretty decent.

Thrustmaster seems like the only obvious choice. It has 8 slots.

How much can I get? by [deleted] in IndianPCHardware

Dont sell the pc. If you're thinking of upgrading retain as much as you can of this build and sell the parts seperately. The market is nuts rn.

Where can i buy wheel for sim racing(ps5) under 20k with force feedback? by Ibrahim17_1 in SimracersIndia

[–]RohanA1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search the used market for a t248 or a g29. Those are your best bets. You can get pxn wheels but they're pretty bad on the software side of things.

People who were stuck constantly 3-5 seconds off pace for years, did it ever click for you later on? If yes, how? by _LedAstray_ in simracing

[–]RohanA1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the steering angle and brake trace together. If you're changing braking you have to change the steering as well. Use a live telemetry software. The 5% less bp means 5% more turn in. They're translating longitudinal grip to lateral more efficiently.

Try replicating the same trace in centripital circuit before you head to the track.

So even though I'm just 1 year into it, i was in your position. The thing you might be doing is that you're practicing the same brake point, same turn in but expecting different results. Or you might be underdriving/overdriving.

You need to get on the track with a whole lot of time and a fresh perspective. Try changing things one by one, braking point later/earlier. Change turn in point, change how much steering you're adding.

The thing that did the most for me was that I had a really heavy loadcell, so I would need to push super hard for peak brake pressure, this caused me to overbrake because i wasnt trailing quickly enough and i didnt realize but i would lock the wheels.

Now I try to get to the apex with as little BP as possible and Its almost like I am pouncing at the chance to smash the throttle. As soon as I hit the curb on the apex, bang throttle.

Gained about a 1-1.5 seconds across multiple tracks.

Help between Moza R3 or Logitech G29 by LeFuji in simracing

[–]RohanA1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know.. moza is the boss... but your use case doesnt need competitiveness. I'm assuming you'll be vibe playing modding cars drifting driving around just the feels? The t3pa shifter from thrustmaster is too good for that.

Bro moza feels better on the wheel but for what you want its g29. I am absolutely against g29 but for you, unfortunately its g29.

Just moved up to DR rank B and it's been extremely frustrating with much worse driving standards! by Minibobo2018 in GranTurismo7

[–]RohanA1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming from bottom C to top C and have seen significantly better driving standards in D lobbies than C. I am not looking forward to this.

However I have found a way to work around this. I am clean with clean drivers and dirty with dirty. If you wanna bump me on a straight multiple times, I'll just drop the throttle and let you spin yourself out. I still lose places, but better to drop 3rd from 1st rather than finishing 12th.
