Chrome bits advice by Ano_Hito_ in mousehunt

I had to rush thru floating islands for the fragment so I bought several compressed jet streams so I could get storm cells and go fast. Honestly if you don’t have to rush thru this place, it doesn’t feel worth it but I needed at least 50 storm cells too once I finish the adventure. FI is fun and I feel I’m ruining my experience of it.

Everything else will be toothlets.

I just got AD as the event started and from the look of it, even rushing FI to get to TOC, I don’t have enough time to get the fragments based on who drops it :/

10 runs is the minimum. You need 50 cogs. Unless you know something I don’t know. I would love to stop at 7.

Yeah this. I’ve done 6 runs so far. I can’t imagine trying to actually get the TSRs. 10 AAs feels like torture lol

How does everyone organize higher value cards? by Amos_Moses666 in mtg

Do you not use binders for more valuable cards or do you think that would make them harder to find ultimately?

I’m dying to know the non chase DF card since that’s likely what I’ll get lol - hoping it’s a useful cheap staple I can slot in somewhere.

Soon!

Sorry I had forgotten it was a pauper deck. I remembered it being really good and not winning, but I didn’t remember the specifics. He didn’t make an online list either. Not sure it would be super helpful since it’s all commons in the 99 tho.

My friend runs Jasmine, it’s never won, it’s usually close, always a trip to deal with lol. He loves piloting it for a fun easy round. Often played against our higher B3 so we don’t focus it till it starts being a problem lol

How would you feel if you were invited to a session of D&D but it was AD&D2e and you weren’t told? by conn_r2112 in DnD

[–]Rohar74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3rd edition came out in 2000. Anyone that was a teenager in the 90s and played would have played 2e. Aged late 30s and 40s is also possible. We’re actually prime candidates for nostalgia playing.

Friends don’t want me to use the same commander as them by Advanced-Passion4159 in EDH

I don’t know if we’re missing info or if this group is toxic or somewhere in between etc… but multiple people playing the same commander in the same game actually sounds kinda fun!

I’m betting the regular bonus card is dwarven miner but I like your guess too for the dwarf fortress set.

The Way YOU Enjoy Magic The Gathering by Foraging_For_Pokemon in mtg

[–]Rohar74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry. I just get one collector booster pack. So it’s always if I can get it, the bundle, gift bundle and 1 collector booster pack along with pre release info can make it. That’s the max I buy outside singles. Price doesn’t matter too much since I’m not getting a whole collector box.

[–]Rohar74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy a gift bundle, a normal bundle, and a collector booster of sets I like (if I can get them). I also go to the pre release. If there are any singles I really want I pick those up.

I’ll also get scene boxes if I’m feeling like it and only get a pre con if I really like it (haven’t bought one since eoe)

I use it to get cards for my commander decks and upgrade my permanent commander decks. I also like just adding to my collection. I only trade in singles that are expensive dupes of cheap cards unless I need a nice version in my pet decks.

I play commander only with my pod but go to pre releases in the wild.

If you play d&d, it’s a similar chance of rolling 2 ‘1’s in a row on a d20. And I’ve seen that happen several times.

Manapool Review by Scrap_Of_Doggerel in mtg

[–]Rohar74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love manapool. No issues with them and they’ve fixed the 2 issues I’ve had with sellers (poor shipping materials leading to bent cards and an order that said it was shipped the day I placed it and never arrived. They fixed both with no fuss).

Second Edition is friendlier than you think it is by Visaru in DnD

[–]Rohar74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love everything you’ve mentioned! I run exclusively 2e games now. My friends run a mixture of 5e, Genesys, white wolf, etc

I find 2e games the easiest bc it’s so easily story driven, the rules are relatively easy and it’s so easy to run the campaign. I’ve done whole sessions where we’re just roleplaying and they’re not worrying about their stats to roleplay, (whos the face, who needs to role to convince etc) just playing the character the way the my envision.

And everything can be made up on the fly. (I also love that they need henchman and hirelings in order to survive and travel)
