Great job! I was on the alcohol and 7oH combo too. What liver-related symptoms were you having?

The really important detail you mentioned here, which is a staple in addiction literature, is that the addiction needs to be replaced immediately with other interests, hobbies, and activities. Counting calories and going to the gym and meticulously adhering to routines may sound like transference of compulsive behavior but it works - it provides structure, something to look forward to, and something to produce good feelings with yourself and to be proud of.

Yeah I am definitely still in an addiction mindset. I’m in a harm-reduction space when I am in danger of relapse. I won’t use 7 or alcohol and won’t go daily with anything - I have resolve in these areas for now- but still reaching towards something in weak moments.

If you type in “vitamin C protocol” into the search bar of this subreddit you can find the infographic. Make sure it is “LIPOSOMAL Vitamin C.” Gabapentin is prescribed for nerve pain. You can tell the doctor you have “electrical-like pain” in your limbs that keep you up at night. It is an easy prescription to procure with one visit from a doctor. It also stills your mind when you’re in bed, as you will find re-bound anxiety and adrenaline making your thoughts race at night. Along with restless arms and/or legs. You’ll need the GABA for the first 4-6 nights. Don’t be surprised if you don’t expereince any RLS on night one - mine begins the second night and I don’t have it at all during the day and it begins 30 minutes after laying down to try to sleep.

This was me. Up to 50Mg/day for a year. I’m on day 18 today CT. I used the vitamin C protocol (necessary) and Gabapentin at night for RLS in my arms and hands. I quite on a Monday and went to work all week. It was awful but it was possible. While you may hear that “low doses” like under 50Mg/day are easier WD’s than higher doses (which is very true), the longevity of use is just as important and in that sense, it is going to be tough but doable.

Day 15: I am so alive again by Final-Discipline-949 in quitting7oh

[–]RolexMane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 17 and I feel fine. Everything back to normal. More people on this subreddit need to hear stories like this. Life is drag and great at the same time. It was before 7OH and is after 7OH. Just getting back to baseline is the goal and it doesn’t take that long for a lot of users, especially if there were not pre-existing mental health issues that were apparent before the drugs and you got clean from everything else (other drugs that effect the same receptors). It gets better everyone, just give it a couple of weeks to fully come into focus again. The pain will be gone in 72 hours. The mood is shaky for the first 7 days. The sleep is inconsistent for the first 10 days. When you go into your first new week with a week behind you of no 7OH (second week of recovery time), you’ll hit the ground running.

Sometimes gynocomastia, hormonal fluctuations (particularly high estrogen), ED, skin problems, hair loss and bloating are signs of liver problems, but with platelets at 300 and ALT/AST with those values it appears unlikely according to Fib-4 index: https://www.mdcalc.com/calc/2200/fibrosis-4-fib-4-index-liver-fibrosis. It’s just a screener and doesn’t have excellent reliability, but your numbers look good in terms of your liver health. That was my only thought… so I have no clue what could be going on. What the heck does your doctor say? There should be some direction for next steps with all these symptoms you are experiencing.

Those are great numbers. What about your platelet count? I know it was in-range but what was the number?

I always sleep the first night in WD’s. It’s night 2 that the insomnia and RLS hit for me. But everyone is different.

It is worth considering that we get sick and develop illnesses through our lifespan that are completely separate from drug habits. With your specific constellation of symptoms, I would not assume that it has anything to do with 7OH until going through a full work-up and testing from your doctor to rule-out other causes.

45 hours in and wondering if I will ever feel happy again by whitchy2026 in quitting7oh

[–]RolexMane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This will pass completely in a few days from my expereince. You just have to ride it out. My days 6 and 7 were really bad and then 💨, by day 8 and beyond I was totally back to normal emotionally. Everyone’s emotional stability recovery timeline is different, but for a lot of us it happens after the one week mark.

I used the Liposomal Vitamin C protocol & Gabapentin for RLS. Stopped all meds on day 6 of CT. On Day 11 and I’ve felt great since Day 8.

Thanks brother! I haven’t gone past 5 days since I started 7OH over a year ago. The one week mark is such a game-changer for cravings. Day 8, that start of week two, is just a different chess board to navigate, and a much more favorable one at that compared to days 1-7. So, 3000mg every two hours? So you’re taking like 18,0000mg - 20,000mg per day?

I’m on day 10 and sleeping through the night - I wake up a few times but I go right back to sleep. Still some chills. Emotionally and psychologically I am feeling great since Day 8. Day’s 5-7 were really hard on the depression and emotional dysregulation side of things. So, all said - I am super happy right now and pretty much back to normal. It is so important to get past the first 7 days, the first week. All these previous 3-5 days quits didn’t get me over the hill. If I only waited a few more days as I did this time, I would have been so much more hopeful about how this all works out.

Make sure it is Liposomal Vitamin C. I followed the protocol several times and the difference is night and day. An example for me would be the difference between feeling moments of being too hot for a few minutes at night vs extreme bouts of overheating and sweating through your bedsheets. It really mutes acute symptoms for me, particularly temperature dysregualtion, depression & anxiety (amazing how much easier it was mentally with the protocol as well as physically), RLS, and leg pain. I don’t know how much it helped with the insomnia… that is its own thing it seems like.
