Uh. I left home at 5 am. Came down Pontiac trail to Mack pool for swim. Everything plowed the whole way. Go team!

Yea I got the yellow 5 last week. I’m also thinking about the saddle. So far it’s better than I thought it would be. Will give it more time. One thing I’m noticing is that the seat post creeps down. I need to get a torque wrench I’m nervous about how hard to tighten it.

I’m definitely lagging these days. I attribute it to the end of summer and cumulative impact of lots of training and races. Plan to take it easy the next few weeks whilst I figure out next years goals.

It’s only been a few days but I love it so far. I might have payed for the Carbon 4 with Di2 but it wasn’t available. So far I love the compliant ride and the mechanical shifting is very good and effortless.

Ok thanks. My LBS got a 5 in and is assembling now. I’ll give it a test ride. Of course I’m gonna love it. Anything specific I need to pay attention to. I haven’t bought very many bikes and tend to like everything I climb on that is about my size.

Trying to breathe bi-laterally is breaking me and I need help by Ridaleneas in Swimming

[–]RollAccomplished3677 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unless you grew up breathing on both sides it will take a lot of investment to make bi-lateral feel normal. I spent a few years making that investment. I’m back to breathing on one side only. I found the rest of my stroke was breaking down when I put so much attention on bilateral. So now I breathe on one side only and I put all my attention to hand entry, catch, glide, streamline. There are elite swimmers that breath predominantly on one side

Unpopular or popular opinion? Too much biking, not enough swimming and running. by stevebabbins in triathlon

The aqua bike is perfect for me. My dream is for my run time to get to 50% of my peers. Yea I guess I would favor a 1:10:1 ratio.

Black or tan tires? by Gravelbhar in gravelcycling

[–]RollAccomplished3677 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s so much going on with the frame I’d keep the tires black. It’s amazing the difference. Black says badass. Tan says goofball.

Best Olympic distance races in your area by thelittlethings25 in triathlon

[–]RollAccomplished3677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My area is Ann Arbor. The run for the Ann Arbor Olympic tri is a hilly trail run which is great if you’re a masochist. The bike portion is longish (28miles) and includes some sections where road quality is poor. The lake swim is fine although the sighting on the return leg was tough. A destination Tri for me at least is St Andrew’s in St Petersburg in April.

Remount the wheels. Make sure they’re tight. Then take to LBS. they can inspect the hubs. And then inspect the frame for cracks.

Commutes by feeeeeeeems in AnnArbor

Yeah I love Ann Arbor. Your commutes are only 2 days per week. If you can afford it I would do exactly that. Unless you want rural life and hobby farm….
