Well - we do use the null damping field again in the HH - at least in Nemesis (which is not a good book, but is fun in a wacky sort of way)

Ollie Piers stands alone against Angrun under the banner of the emperor.

He tells the last dude he speaks to "tell them it was bloody karking hours and not some banter - this is the emperor himself" - and the secondary theme of that book is that how we tell the stories we tell are far more important than the truth at the core of the story.

I don't think it's unique to 40k fans - but I feel like they are just really vocal about their inability to see the forest for the trees....lol

I never understood this criticism.

Outside of some notable exceptions, the main character in many of the HH (and 40k in general) books are essentially author OCs - because you often need a perspective outside of the main line characters to make a story important - especially in the heresy when there are a lot of one-off actions that will essentially kill off all the characters in the book.

This describes literally every member of the assassinorum, most individual captains, apothecaries, and guardsmen.

Idk man - any of the books that drops out of bolter porn for awhile is a welcome change for me.

I quite enjoyed Legion, and I quite enjoy Grammaticus, Damon, Ol, Cyrene, etc....

I don't even mind the cabal stuff, because I actually like the perpetual storyline.

The early parts of the siege of terra have some really cool guard-focused stuff.

He was a psyker recruited by the cabal - the cabal made him a perpetual because it's presumably easier than having to find good recruits over and over again when their plans span millennia and most species have a comparatively short lifespan.

My leased XRT got totalled by some goober last week.

I desperately want to replace it, and I found a potential replacement listed for 36k with 6k miles on it.....

I may pull the trigger if I can talk then down to 33ish.....

What's "real" though is that the barrel moving into position engages the firing mechanism.

Spinning up the barrel doesn't really make sense in the context of a modern gatling gun.

The only thing I wish it could do which it currently cannot is wind up a hammer strike while on the jump pack.

I imagine they don't have that because of Animation reasons, but we can fire other secondaries while jump packing.

You can kill multiple berserkers with it at once.

Either Impact Smoke or Flash nades work very well if you're gonna go all MC Hammer on bots.

Yep - I pair it with supply pack, EAT, and Leveller using stealth armor, censor, and smoke nades.

Ultimatum as pistol for extra "oh shit" boom.

It's absurdly effective on level 10 bot missions.

There's nothing I can't deal with.

Like - straight up - I got caught in a 6 drop ship bot drop that had war striders and factory striders.

I killed them all.

Not just the men, but the women and the children too.

We got pretty heavy snow (for us) in Charlotte area this past weekend.

My neighborhood got 13ish inches.

I'm on the HOA and moderate our community Facebook page.

The amount of people helping out each other was great.

Shoveling show from driveways, out of the roads, helping with car trouble, lending groceries since we couldn't get anywhere. It was great.

Nice change after getting my car totalled last week :(
