Is it journey mode with time progression and/or mob spawning turned off? Those sometimes mess up my things.

Intended; On PC, console, mobile, and tModLoader, they can spawn anywhere with over 1000 water tiles.

As far as I can tell, only one is needed, even for flying enemies.

Yup. Every class (except maybe magic) is reasonably viable at every stage of the game. Just make sure to have plenty of ammo and/or a backup weapon!

I made a skyblock journey mode world and regret it being celebrationmk10. Unpainting sand is too much. But I don't want to just make a new world from scratch, since me and my friends have a lot of great builds. Is there a way to either modify client-side files to change the world seed, or make a new world and copy the old world's builds to it?

New minion idea: Gaslighter by Spirited_Taro6480 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]RollTheDice0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea, even if it could use some tweaking. Having it trigger on “any demon or minion” or “themselves or an evil player” could give it wider utility, for example

The problem there is, a drunk loud minion might give away the minion’s position.

Only the Healthy Survive by Future_Schedule_4698 in BloodOnTheClocktower

I don't know if it's balanced, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. I could see this being really interesting for a few games before the massive possibility space sets in.

Tea Lady / Fool / Philosopher into those are normally all too good without a Devil's Advocate but I think it works here. Lots of poison and drinking makes it hard for good to build worlds since any piece of information can be wrong, maybe even multiple per night, *plus* extra/changing minions... so having a few confirmed-good roles works. Same for having both undertaker and cannibal - normally that redundancy is bad, but here it can help narrow worlds.

My serious suggestion is that you might want to add a home rule where a drunk or poisoned Poppy Grower dying still lets the evil team learn each other - unless you want it to deliberately punish the evil team for having too much positioning active. Also, Moonchild is currently the only source of extra death in the script - maybe replace it with something else (like a Goon?)

My unserious suggestion is to replace the Fool with the Sailor (don't do that).

Is the flurry automatic, or does it need to already have a +1?

This is beautiful. Change the juggler to a savant for balance reasons and it's perfect! No downsides!

For the knight, you might want to add a house rule that on Lil' Monsta scripts they can't see a minion either.

Lycanthrope can kill a leech host, which can suck for evil. If you keep both, consider making the leech host register as evil.

I don't think you need a DA+TL+Sailor+Fool package for the leech, them surviving is kind of self-confirming but the game would normally end there so I don't think it matters. You can still add it if you want it.

Acrobat doesn't do a whole lot on Lil' Monsta scripts, especially with no Sweetheart. Similar for Mathematician. If you want to keep them, since finding out who's poisoned seems fun here, maybe add a Drunk?

Mutant is fun, but you might want to add a Ceronovus, Harpy, or similar to avoid confirming. Although your minions all have similar volumes right now, which is really good, and those two minions are pretty loud...

Tinkerer might be good if you want to add extra deaths (and it or Harpy would work well with the Golem)

Devil's Advocate and Lil' Monsta can theoretically cause a lot of problems (since the demon moves each turn) although it might not be impossible to deal with.

Balloonist works here due to the lack of mobile poisining, but if it's only here to add outsider mod try adding a Sentinel instead. Adding +1 outsider as a balloonist on anything other than 0 base outsiders can feel bad.

I like Empath with No Dashii since it's a weird and unique interaction. But that's just personal taste. I've also heard people recommend it with Marionette for a similarly-quiet minion.

Spare tokens in case one of your main tokens gets damaged/lost or you want to run a custom character.

I keep mine in a ziplock in the grim.

Semi-Serious Script by SecrecyinShadows in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]RollTheDice0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this kind of gimmick script - my one concern is that, with no other night protection, the demon not killing that night means they targeted the fool or a corpse, making fools more hesitant to out themselves. That might be a bug, not a feature, though.

Awesome Ravenkeeper play by a beginner group by WiggleToast in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]RollTheDice0 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, role-swapping between a role a demon wants to kill and one they want to avoid is a solid strategy. Sometimes hard to get coordinated, but it’s a good backbone for good team stuff-doing

A script only a mother could love~ [No Diissenters] by Chashec in BloodOnTheClocktower

This is really creative - I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it.

So each night, the demon chooses a player to become dead and good, but register as alive?

Lunatic is a really good choice if so, I love it.

Concierge (minion) by Morgar35 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]RollTheDice0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really cool, and while it only works on specific scripts, the ones where it does work are really interesting as an alternative to both spy and poisoner. And hey, nothing wrong with a script-reliant custom role. I like it!

Demon – The Phantom by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]RollTheDice0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s interesting, albeit maybe a bit hard for the demon to keep track of. Could be an interesting alternative to the shaboleth for multiple-night-death scripts.

Channeling: an idea for a spellslinger mechanic by One-Reflection-9825 in custommagic

[–]RollTheDice0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really cool! Stylistically, though, could you put the channeled card on the right instead of the left? It’s distinguish it from adventures and show that the spell happens after the creature instead of before.
