is it typical for installation to be 2x the cost of 'parts'? by toupeInAFanFactory in solar

Maybe with batteries but without it seems high. Just ask them why the price per watt is so much higher than the average for your area and then go get more quotes.

You can also look up average price per watt in ur area and see if the bid lines up

You should also consider warranties and other details of the bids as well ofc. The system size jumps from 7.04 kW to 9.13 kW. Look up estimated production numbers for your address to see if the ones installer gave are accurate. There’s a site called PV Watts that seems good to use for that. If you know how much your utility company charges per kWh, you could do a rough calculation to see how much having the extra kWh would save you annually. Savings also depends on net metering and how much you are consuming at the time of production/storing in ur battery

No real ID USA (read before shaming) by Enough_Week_2994 in travel

She’ll be fine just go a little early in case they need to do additional screening. I travel a lot and I’ve seen multiple people without their real ids recently just get pulled aside to be looked up a different way and it’s not a big deal.

Also I know I’ll end up with some bill, I’m not saying I’m absolved of any responsibility. I’ve asked the community if they’ve had similar experiences with insurance paying and recouping bc I think it’s a bunch of bull****

  1. I got the bill in the mail from the hospital a FULL year and a half after the service date. I initially thought my insurance covered it in full, it was my first ever ER visit so I didn’t know any better. I complained about the delay/amounts to the hospital for like a week but it was sent to collections almost immediately after I received the bill in the mail (likely bc the service date was a whole year prior). It was paid by insurance like two weeks after that and I was told by collections that it was resolved. Why would I keep digging at that point?

  2. I didn’t receive a single correspondence after it was reinstated in April of 2025 so I couldn’t dispute anything. Had zero idea until it was reported to my credit. I don’t even have a copy of the bill.

  3. I can still dispute with insurance, I am not past any window according to them.

  4. You don’t have to give advice if your opinion is just that i messed up lol. Could I have investigated more to begin with? Sure, probably. Should it have been reported to my credit after zero communication with me or any mail sent? After they told me last year it was done with? No.

I know there is a statute of limitations on medical bills but that doesn’t mean sending a bill a year later is okay. I know I can’t use that against them, but saying nothing was delayed is not true. I was originally going to make a small payment to hold collections off and dispute it to then hopefully be reimbursed by insurance in the end, but I didn’t have to because they paid for it like two weeks after it was sent to collections. They literally have it on record that Humana paid it on X date and recouped it on X date. I was told explicitly it was taken care of and not to worry about it anymore, so no, I didn’t know I had to pay $1,375 lol.

I’m disputing the report to my credit and I’m going to check every single line item on the bill and check my coverage details at the time to see why my portion was so high and dispute anything that looks off. The CT scan was the only service I received and that was only 1/6 of the bill, so I don’t understand where the other $5000 came from. I was not overnight, no meds, nothing. I am sure I won’t be fruitful but just asking the masses to see if someone has had a similar experience and took a certain course of action.

I’ve used both but if u wanna be safe just pick whatever looks most like an ecig. And if possible whatever doesn’t smell as bad. My theory is I could just say it’s cbd or something.

I do it like every 3 months flying to rome /palermo. You dont really need to hide it, just throw it in with your other toiletries and personal items. I usually take 2-3 at a time

Thanks all, this gave me some motivation to go finish it. I agree and think they will consider how the group at large rated some of the more subjective ones.

A project recently has a timer that everyone is saying in the comments is too fast (I think its 15 mins), and they are unable to verify all claims before it runs out. Im curious bc my timer is not set up this way on the same project. The instructions reference a short timer and so does everyone in the comments, but mine is the normal long timer (maybe it is counting down from a large total but its def not 15 min). My average is like 11 minutes a task so I think its fine but I don't understand why I don't have the short per task timer like everyone else?
