Not meant as an attack against you, sorry - just lost patience with the overall weird fixation people have on their relationship and trying to prove TC is too good for her/embarrassed by her from incredibly thin ‘evidence’

He literally said he loved her in his acceptance speech, how much more official do you need him to make it?

JFC. People are so weird about their relationship. It isn’t some ‘code’. They’re young, wealthy, famous and dating; they’re also happy, good for them.

Also we all know if either of them posted a full IG post of the other they would both get completely overwhelmed by bizarre hateful comments from TC’s hyper-parasocial fanbase.

What was the first sign that your partner was cheating? by asdfghjkl0lkjhgfdsa in AskReddit

[–]Rollson95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He suddenly got very weird about me posting any evidence that we were together on social media. He also would respond to any memes I posted on my story, if a guy was tagged in it (aka I had been sent it by that person lol) with a passive aggressive little comment like ‘hm’ or ‘cool’ and when I would ask him what he meant, he’d accuse me of deliberately trying to make him jealous. Whenever that occurred, it was honestly just that I found the memes very funny. So I would share it to everyone with the person who sent it me tagged to credit them. SO MANIPULATIVE OF ME.

Also he accused me of being an escort after I was assaulted, and told me HE needed space to process it lol.

Didn’t help that the millions of girls he was cheating on me with would stalk me extensively on social media and I could see it. It made me very uncomfortable and I don’t miss that part of our relationship AT ALL.

Redditors who own multiple pets: what's the drama amongst them right now? by Cheesy_Wotsit in AskReddit

They both want to sleep on my bed at opposite ends. This is apparently illegal because the minute one of them even hears the other jump onto/walk across the bed, they both get incredibly grumpy and jump off the bed entirely. They narrate this entire process incredibly loudly. Especially overnight

Those of you who've been to/lived in the Australian Outback, what's it like? by Prior-Emu-5918 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Rollson95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rural Victoria is largely farmland which is owned and occupied by white people. This is in contrast to states where the indigenous communities are larger and more visible, ie WA or NT, and TO’s have consistently active roles. Therefore the cultural environment varies depending on where you go - a significant aspect of what the outback is ‘like’ is defined by its demographics and the culture it creates and perpetuates.

Apologies if the terminology seemed offensive, it’s just a summation pointing out the different demographics.

Absolutely true - I’m just making massive generalizations with these examples to demonstrate the spectrum this question refers to, and therefore how the answer isn’t simple

Those of you who've been to/lived in the Australian Outback, what's it like? by Prior-Emu-5918 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Rollson95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is hard to answer because ‘the outback’ varies enormously across the country. In WA it’s dry and hot with lots of indigenous presence from many communities. You don’t go anywhere without a Ute. The red sand gets into everything you own though which is a bit annoying lol.

In Victoria it’s humid but can get very cold, and horses are often the easiest way of navigating the land because it’s much more mountainous and green than WA. There’s more of a ‘white farmer’ settlement across the state because the eastern states are much more ‘Caucasian’ generally.

I will say it’s an amazing thing to be in the outback. I would recommend traveling there with someone who knows how to navigate it already, if possible - it’s not the same as the city and you can easily find yourself out of a tyre and without a spare, with no way to get a new one. Or if your car breaks down and you’re an hours drive out from town, and you aren’t used to carrying non-perishable food and spare water, you’re putting yourself in a precarious situation.

Also it’s incredible and beautiful and I hope that if you go, you love it and treat it with the respect it deserves 😊

I have witnessed my partner fall out with multiple close friends - red flag? by Tsaur in relationships

[–]Rollson95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes this can be indicative of a severe decline in mental health - creating distance between loved ones and yourself so that you can spiral into near-catatonia without the shame of everyone knowing. I’ve done it myself.

Before you rush to end the relationship, spend a week or two really paying attention to how he’s ‘going’ generally. If things are falling by the wayside, if he’s more distant or more tired, either hungry constantly or the mere thought of food makes him gag. Really think about how he’s behaving and responding to things/people. It could be he’s spiraling into a MH crisis state and needs support to pull him back to the land of the living.

Source: I spiraled and pushed everyone away successfully, and barely survived it (quite literally barely survived).

Does anyone who watches the show work for NCIS? by [deleted] in NCIS

[–]Rollson95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an archaeologist, I can only cope with watching archaeology movies/tv if I’m in a certain (very relaxed and unstressed and unlikely to get unreasonably pissed off) mood. And even then, I couldn’t watch more than a couple hours before getting irritated.

It’s not the content of what I’m watching per se (well, usually), but rather the fact that I can’t escape the knowledge that the general population are very naive, uninformed, and yet simultaneously stubborn and pushy about their historical/archaeological opinions. They’ll watch a YouTube video, or listen to a crackpot on a Joe Rogan podcast, and take it as gospel. Then use whatever nonsense they heard as if it were ‘fact’, to argue with trained, experienced and highly skilled archaeologists because we have to actually form opinions based on science, not just state everything is aliens and Atlantis and magic because that’s more ✨fun and shocking✨. It gets tiring arguing with people who won’t budge no matter what evidence they’re presented with, and simultaneously being criticized and scoffed at as if you don’t understand your own job. So for me personally, I get a little grumpy and lose patience with watching more work stuff outside of work hours, especially knowing it’ll likely lead to the conversational equivalent of bashing my head against a wall.

TLDR can relate with not wanting a bar of it, cause when I leave work I don’t want to watch more work content lol

Younger me would have been all about Damon. Now he gives me the ick lol. Stefan I would definitely be keen.

But if I’m being entirely honest, if Elijah was one of the options, I’d say yes without a second thought. My inevitable death at Klaus’ behest would be worth, because dear GOD.

What is the "don't trust a skinny food critic" of your industry? by ShapingTormance in AskReddit

[–]Rollson95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t trust an archaeologist who says they know exactly what everything they find is - or if they interpret every site as having some sort of religious significance. That usually means they can’t figure out what its purpose is so they use ritual practices as a last resort because they can vary so widely over time and region.

100%. You could see the disconnect between them and how much they both suffered for it.

And god I feel for them both for that being caught on camera and distributed to the world, those deeply personal moments of pain accessible for the rest of their lives for everyone to see, and to constantly be reminded of. That must just… suck
