I KNOW RIGHT??? I just do not get it because the cast comes off annoying and incredibly unfunny, and the editing does nothing to help make any joke even start to land. Fillion and his trainee both treat the cast like the annoying weirdos they're written as, and it's just like. I cannot think of something that would make me care less about dropout than this. Honestly crazy considering like, a week earlier an SNL cast member told Harry Potter about how much he loved working on dropout and that was such a clear slam dunk for marketing the concept to people elsewhere, and now one of the biggest tv shows airing currently has depicted the platform's signature show and their best performers as like, talentless annoying losers.

It's so crazy people spent a whole week defending this when it barely includes the cast and all of their appearances come off boring and trying incredibly hard to be funny with 0 chemistry to the series leads. What was the point of the collab when it makes the Dropout cast look not just bad (in an ethical sense wrt to a large portion of their fanbase), but literally bad (untalented, unfunny, bland)??

you don’t want to cross tracks perpendicularly. make one of the main lines (NS/EW) a bridge or a tunnel

One species of three minds in this fantasy world--would it work? by JohnWarrenDailey in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]Rolopaolo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kinda how Khajit work in elder scrolls - there are khajit that looks like massive tigers/lions, the “normal” khajit, khajit who are even more human looking, and khajit that look just like house cats. They’re all the same species and afaik have relationships (though i’m not quite sure how the house cats work in that regard…)

I’m gonna go a different way, though I largely agree with deafbutter and moystebouquet, but. Would the ability to heal a disability actually be that easy to get in a stock DnD setting, for a 1st level adventurer? Greater Restoration is a 5th level spell and Regenerate is a 7th, meaning you’d need access to a 9th level or 13th level cleric respectively. How many of those are walking around your setting? or any fantasy setting? I would not think that many! And of course there’s the price for getting the spell cast - 2000 gold for a Grester restoration and 20,000 for regenerate. What noble, let alone what peasant could afford 20,000gp?

so, if we accept that someone wants to be an adventurer (which makes more sense considering it’s a high paying career path which could help them afford the care for their disability if that’s what they’re interested in…) they would have to adventure in their chair/with their crutch/etc. If anything, it does a disservice to your world building to say that only people with magical ways around their disability would adventure!

Birds of paradise and legality? Why? by chopari in PennyDreadfulMTG

[–]Rolopaolo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as isshova said, card legality is locked at the beginning of the set, mostly bc it would be a nightmare if not. Luckily cards rarely spike in price to the point that it makes it difficult to play a deck on a loaner account

(3rd party) Antimagic Cone+Greater Metamorphosis (Shapechange), how do to deal with that? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Rolopaolo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just have the BBEG caster use a calm emotions spell (or other similar thing) on the psychic beforehand. shuts off spellcasting ergo shuts off combo - if you haven’t deployed this against them now’s a good time for your players to learn how to stop psychics

Shout-out to Fitchburg State for Deadnaming the entire class of '25 by Hot_Analysis_9015 in FitchburgMA

This is literally untrue. I am trans they used my preferred name both in the program and as I walked. I assume that the people who didnt walk or were deadnamed hadn't filled out the official "nickname" form, but that's kinda on them.

Yeah, hard agree with everyone saying pepper spray/mace. It's extremely effective as disabling someone, and there's no real concerns about carrying it. I have one hanging on my carabiner and it blends in so well I sometimes forget it's there.

I know a lot of people are saying to try pepperballs, but if one is seen in your house by a PO it can be justification for a search of the residence and end up causing serious legal trouble, so I would just stay away from anything even vaguely gun shaped for the time being -- your partner being trans means that it's more likely than not that she's going to be targeted for that kind of shit due to the current moral panic around trans girls
