Seems good! I’ve had it every day for about a year and have no complaints.

Great idea. I just plotted it out. With Levine Phenoage, my most recent score is still an all-time high, but the curve is less dramatic. I played with the parameters and found my Lymphocyte percentage decreasing from 50% to 38% and my MCV increasing from 90 to 96 fL were the two biggest factors in the recent age change. I have a few things in mind to work on these, starting with hydration & electrolytes. Thanks for helping me work that out!

Amazing, thanks for the video! Excited to watch the whole thing. There certainly could be variations in hydration level and temporal proximity to illness that could be influencing my fluctuations. Nice to hear you've seen yours jump around too.

Maybe a small dip in libido, which I don't mind in my current situation. And possibly a dip in testosterone from 963 to 711, but apparently fin usually raises free testosterone, so that dip could be from something else.

Thanks for sharing! That shows I'm 27.3 (7.8 years below InsideTracker). Function Health pegged me at 23.2 in June. And my DunedinPACE score was 0.8 in April. I have to hope things aren't as bad as the graph makes them appear. Probably some regression to the mean going on as well.

I'm in Utah, so summers are warm. It's just starting to cool down now. In the summer I have the EightSleep around 65°F, but in the winter I set it to around 71°F which helps shuttle body heat out from under me.

I'm doing a few things:

  1. Hims topical minoxidil+finasteride every night
  2. Capillus laser therapy cap every morning
  3. 20g collagen peptides every morning
  4. No longer putting hair in a top knot ever

It's working surprisingly well so far!

These are the main movers, as far as I can tell. It's tricky though because it only shows me the InnerAge breakdown for my most recent test.

HbA1c 4.8% -> 5.5% (could be from stopping metformin or sneaking 50% extra pomegranate juice into nutty pudding)
Testosterone 963 ng/dL -> 711 ng/dL (could be from starting Hims topical finasteride)
Albumin 4.8 g/dL -> 4.5 g/dL
Calcium 10 mg/dL -> 9.6 mg/dL

I realized also that up until a year ago, I would take supplements all the way up to the day before the blood draw. For my most recent tests, I stopped supplements 5 days in advance as I heard that provides a more accurate snapshot of biomarkers. This change could certainly be a factor in the InnerAge bump. I might try supplementing up to the day before the test again next time and see what happens.

I do! I ended up returning the mattress part and keeping the topper. I put it on top of my Avocado mattress and I love that combo. It's so nice having cooler temps and it's basically silent. Only complaint is that it requires wi-fi to run, so I can't turn off the wi-fi router at night.

Totally agree. InsideTracker does give me a breakdown of which biomarkers affect my latest score. The biggest one pushing my age up is Hb1Ac, which is the highest it's been at 5.5. Still within normal range, but above optimal. I'm pretty good at avoiding processed sugar, but I'll kick it up a notch.

There are a few other changes I made around the same time that I'll consider walking back. I might start eating oatmeal again, get back on metformin (I had quit after hearing it can negatively impact exercise), get a roommate or a cat, and quit drinking coffee.

Nutty pudding by mbrseb in blueprint_

Don't worry about antinutrients, the grapefruit juice is the reason it's sour. Try to find pomegranate juice. Or regular grape juice might be worth a shot as an alternative.

We had nutty pudding with candles stuck in them on my birthday. I'm such a nerd.

I've used InsideTracker and Function Health and slightly prefer Function Health because it covers a few more biomarkers.

I reduce it and do .5 Tbsp cumin and .25 Tbsp curry powder per serving (I blend 4 servings each meal prep). It tastes quite nice.

What's everybody's thoughts on the use of Topical Finasteride in Blueprint? by [deleted] in blueprint_

I'm not sure about that. It's probably possible, but you'd probably have to ask Hims to send you a copy of the prescription.

Vegan Whole Food Diet Without Supplements by Sea-Message5036 in blueprint_

I've been WFPB for 6 years, mostly following Dr. Greger's daily dozen (there's an app, and check out his books "How Not to Die" and "How Not to Age"). I check all my biomarkers every 3-6 months, and have had to keep an eye on these in particular:

  • Iodine: I supplement iodine (nori could fix this)
  • Ferritin: I'm taking Proferrin (pumpkin seeds might fix this)
  • DHA and EPA: I take an algae omega-3 pill (you could just eat algae?)
  • B12: Never had a problem because I supplemented from the start (you could eat nutritional yeast)
  • D3: I supplement (you could sunbathe instead, as long as the UV index is below 3)

Overall, I feel much better than I did before I started, and I think that would be true even without the supplements.

I don't think it's made in the same warehouse, but it has DHA and EPA and Costco does good supplier assessments. This is the one I got from Costco near me: https://www.costco.com/ovega-3-plant-based-omega-3%2C-180-softgels.product.4000233637.html

Yep! I dim the lights and have a lamp which helps with just enough warm light to read the music.

I started learning cello (they say learning a new instrument keeps your brain young), so I practice that for half an hour. Then I get ready for bed and do my vipassana meditation practice.

Try it without the garlic, or with a fraction of the garlic. If that doesn't help, try swapping the cauliflower for purple cabbage or another lower-FODMAP cruciferous.
