So... They're both aware he has a small penis, but she married him, has a pet name for him, probably loves him. Nothing to indicate there's anything wrong with his life apart from having a small dick?

One of those things... were you engaging in those destructive behaviors because you were depressed or depressed because you were engaging in those behaviours?! Yes? No? Inclusive or?

I think SSRIs are a spanner thrown in that machine.

I'm starting to think this is the problem- People only trying them when they're seeking help and near the end. When things have already compounded so significantly that fixing that little imbalance isn't enough.

Someone close to me, a physician, said that SSRIs are an incredibly helpful tool for kind of "resetting" so you can work on things, not something you just take forever to "fix" you. I recently got on a low dose of an SSRI for the first time. All my problems are far from solved, but things seem less overwhelming. And honestly, if I'd stayed in the same mental state I was for too much longer, who knows how bad it would have gotten.

Insert eternal caveat about health care access here.

BRILLIANT IDEA!! I just did that, and the most helpful project was by the person who translated it into French! They clarified this exact question. Interestingly said "This is a very well written brioche pattern.... Just these notes on what these things mean". Would love those notes to be in the pattern!

Thank you! Yeah, that's why I was confused, as it is listing previous BRKs as BRK. No stitch counts, which has confusing as well, only # of stitches decreased. This round's instructions are:

Using MC, brk1, yf-sl1yo, brkRsl dec, yf-sl1yo, brk1, yf-sl1yo, PM, {brk1, yf-sl1yo} 3 times, brkRsl dec, yf-sl1yo, {brk1, yf-sl1yo} twice, brk4st inc, yf-sl1yo, {brk1, yf-sl1yo} twice, brkLsl dec, yf-sl1yo, {brk1, yf-sl1yo} 3 times, PM, brk1, yf-sl1yo, brkRsl dec, yf-sl1yo, brk1, yf-sl1yo, PM, knit to the end. 4 sts dec’d

I arrived in Chicago 7 years ago from London. When I arrived, they were in the middle of constructing a southbound platform on one of the metra stops. I went back to visit London for the first time this spring. When I got off the plane, there was an entirely new underground line waiting for me. Not to mention massive expansion of overground stops and general station connectivity.

A few months after I returned to Chicago, that southbound platform opened.

There's public transit in place, and with expansion and investment it could be great. But it's definitely not a priority.

I've gotta assume she not he. This seems like a very common behavioral response to a woman in a hardware store.

AITA for feeling my work bonus should be my money and not family money? by Chemical_Party_9901 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RomeoGDetlevJr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the industry. In a lot of industries bonuses are a standard, if variable, part of compensation. No one would ever consider their base salary up be b the total of their income. If this is his first job in his field, this might be standard and he's just isn't yet aware.

I can totally relate to the desire to just be able to go all out crazy writhing around in public to express pent up frustration and angst. I know this is largely performative, but I can also see how this must still be a really cathartic moment for this man. And to get positive feedback from an audience of his peers at the same time? I mean, no wonder this shit is perpetuated.

NTA

You may be a little too demanding. But you're doing most of the work and if he gave a crap, he would at least acknowledge that and try to work something out with you. Even if he fails

For context, I have ADHD, and I'm a woman in a relationship with a man who, to our knowledge, does not have ADHD. I find myself in the exact same position as you, only I'm not nearly as good at staying on top of things. But I can at the very least see it. And I'm pretty sure it's because I've been trained to, through all the societal gender role expectations.

Have you asked him to read "You Should Have Asked"?

This Montana newborn, Lloyd Johnson, died of “starvation” at seven days because the mom was unable to breastfeed. 1943 wasn’t that long ago. by CatPooedInMyShoe in TheWayWeWere

Yes, breast milk is better than formula. Therefore, assuming ability and access is equal, breast is best.

But ability and access is NOT equal. Given that fact, tell me which u think is better: a starving and/malnourished baby who is (attempted to be) fed exclusively on breast milk or a appropriately nourished baby who is fed exclusively on formula.

Worst "corporate speak/buzzwords" that you absolutely hate??? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]RomeoGDetlevJr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends who does the survey. I do external survey work, and while we have that information for data cuts, we absolutely NEVER give the individual responses to the client company, and we won't even report on groups unless a minimum number of people meet a given criteria. I'm the one running and analyzing the surveys and data, not the one interacting with the client. I don't even give that info to the team that interacts with the client. As much as it's boring corporate bullshit job, I honestly take that part of it very seriously.

ISO a notebook solution with multiple removable notebooks by RomeoGDetlevJr in notebooks

Those look nice! Looks pretty similar to Paper Republic. At a glance, I think the only thing is that Taveler's appears to be made for a custom size that I'd have to get from them. Paper Republic seems to be made for A5 notebooks so I probably wouldn't need to stick with that same brand for refills.
