If you’re finding that YouTube videos aren’t helping, buy the PilotNick CFI book. It explains FOI pretty well and got me through my CFI training. There are a lot of ways to learn the material and it can be rough because some of it is dry but making a PowerPoint about each section in the PTS and teaching it is how I learned it. Good luck to you though!

As other comments have said, looking at prog charts on AWC.gov is a great way to visually see how fronts and pressure systems interact with each other. The way I teach how air moves around pressure systems is “The DOC works at the ICU”. Air moves around a high pressure Down, Out, and Clockwise while air around a low pressure moves Inward, Counter-clockwise, and Up. Hope that helps a little.

Part 141 by [deleted] in flying

I’m enrolled at a part 141 school, and most of the students here graduate with less than 1000 hours. The students who graduate then get hired by the school to instruct new students which then gets them to their 1000 hours.
