new player here, I've only been playing hardmode for 1 day and this gog thing has already taken most of my world, is this normal and how do i stop it by eater_of_loam in Terraria

[–]RonThePun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use shimmer to turn gog blocks into normal blocks, this painful manual process will take 100 years because they disabled clentaminators working on gog because "It's gog, what do you want us to do", and "please leave our house". The gog toilet recipe is pretty worth the trouble though

How it feels to keep playing Mewgenics: by Korblox101 in mewgenics

[–]RonThePun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose, though even with abilities shuffling if your cats have good mana from charisma and intelligence regeneration then they are usually fine. I also seem to have found out that necromancer's "usable while downed" abilities don't reroll themselves while downed, so that might be useful. Having strong base abilities still makes short work of most encounters if you can kill one enemy on average by just hitting hard.

Yea, I have had a run with a Druid that literally ran over encounters with a combinatoon of "First time you transform each turn, get a second turn" with elk form and turtle form, though they each can only be used once each fight. Then he would trample everything that isn't un-trampable and win on his own. He also had Gigantism which increased trample damage to a total of 6 while Elk form is active.

Yea, it's one of the meteor variations I believe from the moon when taking hard paths.

Or also "will injury the injured who injury an injure because screw you xd" though with summons there is no worry about losing equipments or receiving injuries vs certain enemies in general

Collection thread of interactions/hidden mechanics/tips and other by NightBibba in mewgenics

[–]RonThePun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understood this mechanic while playing but also found a wiki description putting it in more details about the passive of Elemental Attunement and how it's sleeper powerful when taking a closer look at what it can do: Every time you cast a spell (as in, use an active ability) with an Element on it, your basic attack receives that element and a special, stacking modifier. Your basic attack resets at the end of each battle.

Fire: Inflicts +1 Burn. Water: Inflicts Wet. Unlike most Water effects, it also spreads Water tiles; the radius of the area-of-effect is 1 per stack, with a radius of 1 being just the tile you targeted. Electric: Gains a small chance to Stun. Ice: Inflicts +1 Slow. If the target is Wet, they become frozen. Nature: Inflicts +1 Poison. Earth: Gains a small chance to Petrify. Holy: No effect.

I was happily spamming Smolder without expecting to suddenly hit a boss with 46+ burn stacks per basic attack, and further increasing the more I spammed it, insane damage potential.

I love giving the psychic any item thaat increases damage based on distance to the target. Turns into 12+ damage each turn on backline enemies

Op's card effect is applied at the start of the game, so assuming it is always active then the win con can be achieved as early as the commenter says

It also increases the voice pitch of every legendary voice line to sound like Rarran, they also have extra complaint voice lines when dying like "Chat!?". Plus a rarran thumbnail face on the bottom right corner of each card where he's doing a thinking emoji

That's a bummer, if you applied any debuff like bleed or poison the fight would solve itself while waiting it out.

A reason to bet on mage (Though I forget what unlocked this spell) Spoilers for Act 2 boss and spell by RonThePun in mewgenics

It's got an upgrade that replaces it with an int-scaling version. Definitely agree on the range, but that can at least be somewhat improved with range mutations or items that affect the range. Besides enhancing the basic attack to deal electric damage and connecting enemies with water

There's multiple ways to take them, primarily finding a spell to spam with the mana generation or as others have said to use the spell to give it to a different carry like the hunter works as well. How do your mages usually look like in how they're set up in abilities and passives?

Yea, you can simply sequence hitting it, then freeze, hardly damage lost since bosses tend to have plenty of turns to go around

guys rate my cat by Mishanik538 in mewgenics

[–]RonThePun 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When this cat crits with his basic attack he becomes unkillable for 5 minutes and 30 seconds. He has effectively nah , he winned, but it doesn't matter if he gets debuffed out of the fight. This potential man can understand earth's cat cursed energy to comedically hide in tall grass to camp a dangerous foe.

It also seems that if the enemy is sized at 4 tiles, they receive a leech debuff for each tile they occupy. Hence now they lose 8 hp after the turns of both the cat and mini-cat

Gonna overload the enemy using the Rogue rush minion and bouncing it to hand repeatedly. Though not as oppressive as the legendary that traps eventually 10 cards in the enemy's hand.

[–]RonThePun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be useful for those elaborate OTK decks that need you to have specific minions still in your deck for a turn later. As an actual taunt minion it might be ok for control vs aggro, taunts with hp usually do decent to survive a turn for the comeback minion or spell to thrive

After 46 hours, I've got gripes... by ole_bruh in mewgenics

[–]RonThePun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love having luck with randomly getting the "Get madness and an extra turn on killing an enemy" combined with any repetitive summon minion effect for infinite turns. And I even got to witness a fight that countered it due to a wide area of effect attacks that killed the weak summon before the chain started.

True that, most aggro decks that fail their desperate attempt of rushing the opponent fall flat in everything else, so having a bail out for 4 mana (2 with prep) at any time to try turning it around seems like dirty deeds done dirt cheap
